Yes -- if the unloaded version isn't challenging enough and you're ready to add weights, definitely do so -- just make sure technique never suffers.

You've talked about adding the core finisher circuit to workouts. Would this be one where you would advise adding the core finisher?
@hockeytraining
@hockeytraining 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sue, this workout contains core workout in the "C" superset with the hanging leg raise and plank. So no core finisher will be needed! I would add the core finisher to conditioning workouts that don't include core work 👍

How many days per week would you do this? I also want to do the upper body workout as well. PS, I have practice 3 days a week and games on weekends. Thank you.

Is this a good leg workout to do once per week in the summer (off-season)?
@hockeytraining
@hockeytraining 6 жыл бұрын
Yes it definitely can be -- but you should repeat no workout for an entire offseason. Ideally, you could perform this workout as your leg workout for 4-6 weeks in a row depending on what training phase you are in. And if you're looking for a complete offseason program design, make sure you check this out: www.hockeytraining.com/osd18/

Hey guys. Is it too early to workout at 11 years old? If not, what age would you recommend start doing workouts.

Brett Yuzik i started working out when I was 10 all of my friends said all I was going to do was get shorter, so since I didn’t believe them I did my research and working out will make your bone density healthier and better and it will still grow and with better posture!

There’s no reason you couldn’t do these particular exercises. You could even do the weightlifting exercises here without weights. Just go through the same motions. If you don’t have access to gym equipment, with a bit of resourcefulness and creativity you could easily find a way to do a very similar workout at your school playground. 😉 Remember to be careful when you are lifting any weights to prevent injury: start very light, make sure you have excellent control and posture. Then slowly increase weight incrementally as you get stronger and your technique improves. Always keep that in mind. You don’t want to hurt yourself.

Viktor, it is not really about the workout in your case but mostly about nutrition. any workout will help you, as long as you eat properly.

Fat loss is created by a negative energy balance, so burning more calories than you are eating. No specific workout can make you burn fat unless you are in a calorie deficit. Yes the higher intensity you work at the more calories you will expend over the given time.

Cardio bud. Run 10 mins after every workout and you will see a big difference in weight loss and do plank every morning as well, I usually do about 2 minutes of plank each morning.

I was just wondering is it okay for hockey plauers to do Intermittent Fasting or something to take fat off? I still wanna have that nice body, I just need to get the fat off. How would I do that, so it wouldn't affect my hockey performance?
