lowered my 02 WS6 by 3" and it's such a beautiful stance. I get annoyed now when I see other Firebirds with all that headroom in their wheel wells lol

I’m really surprised there was that much corrosion on the top hats considering how good the rest of the car looks.

I made the mistake of lowering my firebird and i got tired of draging dead cats/racoons and other animals everyone else drove over it and having to change my catalytic converter often after it hitting hard every stop bump on the road and the tires damaged the left and right fender cracking the fiberglass when they tires hit it in potholes.... Also when it rained a lot and there was a little flooding i got water inside 😢 long story short I'm back to normal height this pontiac is already low from factory

sounds like you haven’t had much luck my friend lol. I haven’t scraped this car one time since it’s been lowered. I even took the scrape fan off from underneath and have had 0 problems. Cats are already off so don’t have to worry about that. It dosent get drove on bad roads and thankfully there isn’t much roadkill so far this season lol. Best of luck on your next mods.

Yeah I can’t lower my 2000 camaro ss either I have the over the tsp over the axle duals. I just ordered factory replacement moog springs for 60.00 shipped on eBay they were made in America too! I’m getting ready to put an 8.8 with 4.10’s stock springs are 20 years old now. Glad to hear you are not dragging corpses around town anymore!🤣

Just one question in regards to clearance on the rear, say I had an axle to modify is there any reason why I can not relocate the shock mount and the control arm brackets and maybe even put an angel bend on the control arm. Just so the wheels won't rub. what do you think.
@walkerhaules
@walkerhaules 5 ай бұрын
You can definitely relocate both! I just would put them at too much of an angle and lose the stiffness you need for the rear. Relocated at a slight angle shouldn’t affect anything

Looks awesome…. I have one 2000 but idk why its lower (1”) from one side ( passenger side ) first I thought was a broken spring or shock I replaced it and still the same … took it to different mechanics they look at it and said everything is ok … but I can tell one side is lower than the other …. Help !!!
@walkerhaules
@walkerhaules 2 жыл бұрын
Did you replace the front struts? If you replaced springs and everything then you could have a chassis issue has the vehicle ever been in a accident? Different size tire could also cause it.

Day-um. My strut was about that bad on one side. I damaged mine a little but was still usable. Have any issues with everything aligning? I have done everything but lowering springs and torque arm bar. I'm now afraid of lowering it. Don't want the rear end to be misaligned.
@walkerhaules
@walkerhaules 2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t relocate my panhard bar or anything at all besides changing the springs and it was perfectly level. I didn’t have any issues what so ever with it being all level and aligned!
