I started an LPN to RN bridge program in 2020 and these are so key things that I gained from the experience. Mostly this video is centered around the change in mindset that I needed to adopt in order to be successful & get the most out of RN school. I hope this helps, comment your thoughts below.

I'm in the lpn to rn program now. And if people don't know I don't tell them I'm an lpn but alot of the time professors that don't know me are able to see that I've had some type of experience. They would say things like I don't make the same mistakes or most students would do something differently. I would let them know I don't disclose this simply because I don't want them not treating me like a student and that I'm still learning like everyone else.

You helped me so much, Brandi I didn't have a GED when I found you through your "Why I choose LPN over RN" video from the end of 2016. And then I enrolled into my completion course and November of 2017 was when I obtained my High School Diploma (my state issued the HSD instead of GED) and then I became a CNA. Well, this previous week I signed up for the ADN-RN program in my area and you have helped me so much! So much Brandi. Thank you.

My point to add is that YOU changed my mindset so much. And for that, I'm thankful for you. I appreciate you. Thank you, Brandi.

Wow, thanks for sharing, I swear you all are one of the only reasons why I’ve stayed in this field. I’m grateful to have a platform to connect with others to inspire some type of change, thanks for letting me know it means something. Good luck with your program, I know you will get in.

I remember watching your videos before i started my LPN program and being soooo excited! You helped get me through the pandemic while i was in school; i graduated with a clinical excellence award and now I’m starting my RN program in July!!! I seriously couldn’t be more excited! I just had to share this with you ❤

You’re right! I got my LPN in October 2018 and RN in November 2022. I learned the bulk of the information in my LPN program, RN went a bit deeper but same info , but they definitely expected more from the LPNs. LPN was harder than RN for me because i had the basics down already. Thank you for inspiring videos! They definitely helped me get through my RN program without any problems!

I totally needed this! I’m starting my LPN-RN bridge in May and I already have the mindset of this is going to be a breeze because I’m an LPN and I work Medsurg and soon ICU. But you’re right this is another chance to absorb information that I might’ve missed when I was in LPN school. You stay dropping gems sis I appreciate it😌

Nurse B you are so right. I am in my program and I felt like I was fighting my ego the first semester as well, feeling like why don't i know this?? And life has been lifing😂 also because I did so well in my lpn program I assumed I would be great in the RN program but I have really struggled way more than I thought I would. Thank you for doing this video..❤❤

Hey Nurse B! Thank you for doing this video! I am a LPN since 2019 and was thinking about going into a LPN to RN bridge program but the college is far from me so I’m still thinking about it. I remember when I was in nursing school one of my instructors weren’t too nice but two of them were so sweet and would take the time to help me with what I needed.

B, this video was so helpful. I have been an LPN for a year (LTC/SNF). I am going back and forth on whether I wanted to redo Block 2 of the RN for Med Surge 1 or try to go into Block 3. I am taking the bridge course now. However, I would take this same course again if I do Block 2. I want to make sure I know all the things thoroughly!!! LPN was rough and I want to be a damn good RN!! I don't want to count myself out. Honestly, I just want to make sure I know what I need to successfully pass. So confused🥴 Thank you for this video this makes me lean towards the Block 2 😊

This was very helpful. I keep trying to decide if I want to go straight to becoming an LPN from being a medical assistant or just go to being a RN. Give me a lot to think about. Thank you so much for your advice.

I definitely have but I’m waiting to see what that will look like for me. I’m not sure if traditional education is my thing, I’m really not a fan of dealing with the politics of a job but I may do it for some time to get the experience and gain contacts then venture into my own thing. We shall see. Thanks for commenting

Im about to start MA to RN bridge program. I already have a bachelor in non-nursing. But im trying to get a fast tract RN program. Do u think its worth it? Do u have any knowledge to share with me?

Since you already have a non nursing BA I would look into an accelerated BSN program. They will take you because you already have a bachelor’s degree. Does MA stand for medical assistant? If so I def think it’s worth it to go into nursing bc from what I’ve heard the pay and job opportunities are a lot better. I myself almost doubled my income just from going from LPN to RN
