LS Engine ticking/knocking FIX

Күн бұрын99-up GM LS engines have a pickup tube O-ring that can go bad over time and cause air to enter the system. This can create a mess of noises ranging from a tick to almost sounding like a bad rod. Now of course there could be an actual engine issue occurring but this is a low cost and possibly easy fix.

Every motor that I've gotten from junkyard to make standalone and resell I've thrown one of these orings in. Worth the 15 mins it takes when the engine is on the stand and never had an oil pressure problem after.

Does this have fuel management system on it? Did the sound ever come back? Mine is an 08 4.8, similar miles n sounds just like your did, loud, but even louder closer to the ground.
