None of the Dimensions mean much to me because I don't have a 1st Generation small block Chevy oil pan near me .. Also I don't know where the oil pan on a 1st Gen small Block Chevy is in relation to the crank shaft centerline of the Y-Block Style LS motor .. Nor do I know the dimensions of the 4th of 5th Gen Camaro oil pan is ?? I ran out of space to store all my old small block chevys and actually ended up taking them to the scrap yard ..I had them very well oiled with used motor oil and they still rusted here in the swamp in Michigan .. Then I sold all my Tall Deck Big Block 427 Truck engines with forged steel cranks to an engine builder who got murdered a 1 year later..

It depends on what engine mounts you decide to go with, but the Fbody oil pan is one of the most widely used pans in LS swaps. We just started carrying it straight from GM, Part# 35512628771. Just add the factory GM pickup tube, Part# 35512558251 and you’re good to go.

need to know what oil pan do i have to install in mi 86 c10 in case if i´m swaping mi c10 with a 5.3 engine. thanks in advance

From Pat: "There's several oil pans out there available for swaps, and sometimes the correct pan depends on the engine mounts you're using. We don't have any personal experience swapping an LS into a C10. However there are quite a few helpful forums out there with folks who've done swaps like yours. If you end up finding a pan that works best, please check us out as we may carry it."

If you use texas steel works motor mounts you can use the stock oil pan and it hangs flush with the crossmember . I use them on all my c10 swaps

Thicker shorter taller .. The water was only ankle deep on the ducks .. He just pointed to a Plug and called it a Filler Plug ?? Looks like a drain plug to me .. I would be really pissed if I had to pull the oil pan off to drain my engine oil .. Automatic Transmission pans piss me off to so I weld drain plugs into them .. that way you don't have 2 gallons of oil spilling all over the place when you drop the full pan ..
