LS Swapped 280z!

We finally put together a mammoth project headed by Wills' brother JP!
Armed with a plethora of parts from Techno Toy Tuning, an LS from a Camaro, and passable welding skills, The crew sets out to completely overhaul this Datsun!

Is there a follow up on this? I am very curious to know which kit you used for the rear and which differential you went with? Also how well it is all holding together.

Im doing something similar, just a lot slower! Any issues with the trans clearance to the tunnel?

With the motor mounts JP bought, the T56 fit perfect in the existing tunnel.

@@DENVERBEERANDOIL I bought the CX Racing stuff...motor mounts, trans mount, headers and front Y pipe. I noticed some CX racing boxes in some of the pictures. What did you guys go with?

I don't quite recall what mounts he had, but they had a ton of adjustability built into them.

F1 driver aids like computer controlled abs and active suspension were banned in 1993 Pit to car input was banned in the early 2000’s. But yeah they used to literally reprogram the ecu on the fly.

But you didn’t remove the rust or clean up the engine bay. Why?

After the car was completed mechanically, engine came back out and the bay was cleaned up and painted. Structural rust has been removed and the the rest as been clear coated.
