Glad to see you fit a shift kit because it will help your et’s and the increase in pressure will stop clutch packs and band slipping. The sungear will be the next weak link. Fully built they can handle 600 ponies. Shame about the motor. I’m not as adventurous as you and left my setup to a specialist but it did cost $$$. damn dude, that sucks. but no one died, dont need the car to get to work tomorrow, game will go on. also i did something similar on my 80e. pulled what i assumed was the boost valve and staring at the pics like wtf? doesnt even look close. the transgo instructions seem kinda vague, probably meant for transmission builders, not some weekend hack lol.

My guess is it over revved. I see it over and over again on youtube guys do overdrive 4l60/4l80 etc and trans fights the whole way wont shift third or 4th without hitting limiter or trans sensing tq convertor slip etc. Makes me happy to keep an old school 3 spd. Planning for gear vendor next year. Great vid though. Makes me feel better about my motor lol i have changed pistons na motor way more times than i would like 4 or 5 sets i loose count but have never windowed my dart shp block. Knock on wood.
