I think people are so used to Tennessee being down, they still look at this loss for LSU as worse than it is. It is definitely a bad thing to lose by that much at home, but Tennessee is a legit top 10, maybe even top 5 team. LSU played hard, but in the end, the better team won.

LSU has comparable if not better athletes as a whole… but that doesn’t always translate to a better team. Tennessee has something special going on right now. Considering the situation Heupel walked into it’s a huge testament to his coaching and staff. Kelly was straight out coached. Way to go Tennessee… good win.

I am still trying to figure out why some people thought we had a shot...Tennessee is legit and have looked great all year.

Don't blame it on the opening kickoff Kelly. You got beat and out coached in every facet of the game from the first second until the last second. Tennessee let off the gas in the 4th and did it all without their top offensive playmaker.

Only a few rude fans making their way to the seats who said Tennessee sucks but I'm sure they've said worse. But the came is played on the field not in the trash talk between bleachers. But by the fourth quarter I was sitting in the empty Purple LSU seatback cushions that y'all rented for me and eating their cajun peanuts they left behind and singing Rocky Top for the 28th time loudly... I've been to plenty of Tennessee games at Neyland Stadium. This stadium got that loud only two or three times. My first game at LSU's Death Valley (and first SEC away game) and my son's first Tennessee game ever. It was pretty tough to get there for a tailgate for the 11 AM kickoff, But this was I had hoped for a night game for the experience, and a competitive game for my ticket value but I'll take a road W any way we get it. We haven't seen many of those vs LSU or ranked SEC opponents in the last 15 years. But I had plenty of conversations about Cajun food with the LSU fans while waiting in line at concessions. These comments are full of stupidity!! This team is dealing with a major overhaul, and all anyone want to do is blame JD. Did JD drop the slant to Jenkins that would’ve been 6 and change the momentum ? Did he muff the kickoff or breakdown in special teams , which both led to points? Let me. help you, NO!! JD clearly played his best game pushing the ball down field and getting his receivers involved. And yes as BK said, that was the brightest spot of the day. Did he miss some throws yes, but not as many as Hooker who sailed several throws. I believe this JD hatred is coming from a deep unhealthy place, and it’s really sad! This for sure a team loss, but JD is the last person who should be blamed in this one.

Since 2000, LSU first year head coach records: Saban 8-4 Miles 10-2 (with Saban recruits) Orgeron 8-4. Give Kelly a chance. Remember the disastrous two seasons after winning the 2019 National Championship. At 2-2, Norte Dame isn’t setting the world on fire.

Coach took over a dumpster fire we had a skeleton crew as a team we realistically are a 8-4/7-5 team this season and we will get better each season we are two years away from being truly a solid team when walker howard takes over the team we will be a contender again. What do we have, like 70 players on scholarship when we should have 85? We are in a bigger hole than I think most of us realized. The ability of players to just walk into the portal or opt out has gutted this team. This is not an easy fix.

Coach, you can’t blame the players, you had bad game plans and bad play calls. First and foremost, you picked the wrong QB. No matter how much time JD had, he still could not throw the balls accurately. In fact, JD has never been a good passer or QB, just look his numbers at Arizona last year. JD might never saw the tight widows most of time at SEC games when he thrown the balls at Arizona.. He is too scared to throw the balls. I am afraid OC Denblock is also too scared. Arkansas fan but I like Lsu. I’m glad they beat auburn last game and I really wanted them to beat Tennessee but I’m wishing the tigers luck for the rest of the season.

Yeah I think the lack of chemistry leading up to this game had our WR’s not playin well. And Jayden actually did play good but when we get down 17 that fast the whole game plan changes. If we can build off of this and learn we’ll beat some teams we aren’t supposed to. Also, that’s the best Tennessee team I’ve seen in my lifetime. They are very well coached especially on offense. We did move the ball, but so many mistakes is hard to overcome. I do believe Tennessee has a chance against Bama if they can get stops, especially if Young doesn’t play.

Brian Kelly took the team out of the the game in the first 10 minutes of the game. Would have been only down by 4 if he would’ve took the 3 point field goal on the first fourth down. Then he goes for it again on fourth down again at his own 45 yard line.( no one does this.)Now his team has to play behind the 8ball for the remainder of the the game. The worse coaching decisions I have ever seen going for it on fourth down twice back to back early in the game. Never take your team out of the game point blank.

Georgia fan here. Tennessee is playing big boy football. They're gonna remain in the hunt for the natty this yr. They may even take down Bama next week with their qb being out. It's gonna be interesting.

We lost our starting left tackle and guard from a o line still gelling. We had drop passes, and poor special teams play, and the coaches needed to be smarter as those two fourth down plays were baffling. Miss tackles on at least two sacks, o line allowed two unnecessary sacks, and again those drops hurt! The offense actually moved the ball and stalled due to drops, and yes a couple of passes that Daniel's should have fired away on he didn't. This team is a work in progress and I keep emphasizing young, unfamiliar with each other, and a pretty much 70-75% new team and staff wasn't going to get you nothing more than an 7-5/ 8-4 season and that's about where Saban started....except he didn't inherit nearly the mess like O left. If This was year two I would definitely have reservations, but it's his first year and because of that fact I just want them to show improvement as the season progresses. Be patient LSU fans the recruiting is rising, and Kelly might have to change a few coorindinators ( especially offensively), but he'll have a true sense of what it takes by years end! This Day wasn't on Daniel's ( although he definitely bears some blame), nope this was coaching, injuries, and not sticking to fundamentals on defense. GEAUX TIGAHS 🐅 GEAUX JAGUARS 🐆

Once coach Kelly gets comparable talent (which is almost a guarantee at LSU) he will be fine. Coach Saban went 7-6 his first year at Alabama when Alabama was coming off of some rough years. Let's not pretend that coach Kelly wasn't brought in to fix problems. I believe that LSU is going to win big with coach Kelly!

USUALLY, you can count on 2 things from coach Kelly - #1 His teams will frequently be poorly prepared for tough opponents; #2 after a loss he will always say - 'we have to coach better' - (his salary might suggest that better coaching should have come the week prior to the game)

So Woodward actually thought more highly of a supposed offensive guru who can't run an offense well enough to beat App State in his 5th year at a aTm program loaded with talent.

Replace the Special Team coach. His pedigree means nothing. Week after week the Special Team has cost LSU. The loss to Tennessee was not a surprise to me. What was the surprise was the score. At the beginning of the season I felt LSU was at best a mid to lower tier SEC team. The. Win over Mississippi State gave tiger fans a ray of optimism. Nothing has changed in my assessment. In two more years LSU will be a top tier sEC team.

When will we realize that this is a first year team full of all new coaches and tons of transfers, it’s gonna be messy. Yeah we all want a championship but we’ve got to accept that we are in rebuild mode right now, it’s not gonna happen. We’ve also got to quit blaming Jayden. Dude threw for 300 yards. He’s getting better and will turn into an elite QB. We’ve just gotta hope most of these guys will stick around next year, then they will be a seasoned unit and wreak havoc. We still have the chance to be an 8-4 team which is amazing for a first year coaching staff and bukus of transfers. BK is building for the long haul. Quit being whiny, ungrateful fans.
