I have never heard Nick Saban's voice warble so much. He is perplexed and I believe he truly did not expect this loss tonight. For the first time since he left, LSU has a coach who, tactically, is every bit as good as he is and it shook him tonight.

There is nothing left for him to accomplish in this sport. It's time for him to spend football season playing golf, cruising around on his yacht, and spending time with his grandkids.

@@lawv804 Bama has lost 2 games this season on the road at top 10 schools and lost by a combined 4 points. They've been to 6 out of the last 7 National Championships. They'll still win 11 games this season, yet it will be a failure. That's how know they are still the standard on college football. Not to mention another 5 star QB class of 24' just committed this week. Saban ain't goin anywhere for another 5 years atleast. BTW this is coming from an LSU fan

From Louisiana, I was obviously happy with the result of the game but didn't expect it....and I think Alabama feels the same. But herein is the Alabama dilemma.....they have been so good, and so dominant, for so long, that the team, coaching staff, and fans feel that the invincibility of the crimson tide is a 'given'. People tend to forget that nothing lasts forever. As an outsider, we feel that Alabama as a football team has worn a chip on it's shoulder for so long and that they have a 'winner's permanence' attitude, meaning that they deserve to be number one, even though they often don't deserve the accolades. It's kind of a 'smugness' or 'superiority' that the rest of the SEC sees coming out of Tuscaloosa that makes us football 'lightweights', well, happy, that Alabama has to finally do some honest and serious soul-searching. Pride is the biggest sin of all....

Hey, I feel for him.. winners just hate losing and it’s a hard one to take. He sounds deflated and maybe a bit tired with the same’ol, same old predictable questions. Was NOT expecting this win, hoping alright but not expecting. Fair play to JD whom, I have to admit, I doubted early on. He accelerates like an electric car - [that’s a compliment]. AND it was the narrowest of loses at the very death of the game clock. Had the catch been batted away…………..you could simply swap the coaches speeches - NS & BK are singing off the same hymn-sheet afterall.

Truth is, Kirby and Scott Cochran was the backbone of the dynasty. Not a Bama or UGA fan but UGA is the new Bama. Bama is not supposed to be this soft especially on defense. The LSU qb td run in overtime, Bama players got pushed around on the blocks to spring him open. Never seen them ever get pushed around like that and Tennessee receivers blew right by them. UGA is the new Bama in my opinion.

He is disappointed for sure, but every Coach would be. But he talks about how they failed not how they got beat by the better team last night. Both teams made mistakes. It was a great game. Coach Kelly deserves Coach of the Year if LSU wins out.

@@J_H72 Sometimes teams beat themselves too. LSU is good though. The journalists want to know why his team loss. He spoke well of LSU before the game. He knows that they are a good team. To scrutinize him for not acknowledging them again is petty.

Bama has no reliable big, carry 5 defenders for 5 more yards Running Back or Star receivers. Brice and Gibbs are the offense. Bama defense not the same. I think maybe Cochran was the reason Bama was more mentally tough and had more of a killer attitude during his time at Bama he was the #2 guy there.

I'm being serious when I say this: Nick Saban didn't look like he was "all there" mentally. And since when has there been an Alabama press guy standing right beside Saban during the whole press conference? He had to clarify some of the questions for Saban. It was very odd and disturbing. I hope Saban is OK mentally, but watching this makes me wonder.

He still gets the best players. I’m not sure where this misinformation is coming from but ya’ll might want to check your references. I would like to know how one school would get all of the best players. There are only so many slots/scholarships on a team and all of them cannot play at once. 🤔🤨 What is ‘all the best players’? Is there some quantity?

The playing field has always been leveled. Everyone keeps repeating the same take. Coaches have used Saban’s blueprint to develop their players. Google the head coaches he has groomed. Also, it was one point difference. Humble yourself.

The dynasty is over if you don’t fire O’Brien and Golding. Worst Bama has looked on the fundamentals since Sabans first year. Can we hire a DC coach that can teach the secondary how to look for the ball. Multiple interceptions tonight if they just look for the damn ball!
