Interesting thing about the game before the incident was that there were other instances where members from opposing teams were helping each other up (in other words, there was good sportsmanship throughout the game). Even after Flau'jae got pushed down, it looks like Raven Johnson was attempting to help her up or at least checking on her.

Great game. Both teams played their hearts out, but a big difference on how Dawn Staley handled the press conf and Mulkey. Dawn was just a little more humble and they are the team that won and is undefeated. It’s obvious that LSU isn’t scared of SC but SC is still 3-0 against LSU in the past 2 years, including 2-0 this year. And SC lost all their starters from a year ago.

There was jawing ALL game by BOTH sides, and I'm not mad at it. That is the entertainment side of it that viewers live for, and it's why this will be the next BIG rivalry for years to come. The issue is when you actually put your hands on someone (i.e. Kamila and Flau'jae). Dawn was apologizing for Kamila pushing Flau'jae and everything escalating, which is extremely valid. Mulkey is the leader of this team, and responded extremely poorly because it was HER player that poorly retaliated by shoving Ashlyn then that said player's brother hops OVER the scores' table and places his hands on Kamila (a female student-athlete). Bravo to Dawn's response as a leader, bravo to Flau'jae coming right up to Dawn after the game and having an apologetic moment, but shame on Mulkey for her response.@@lavonnealexander6936

I just wanted to convey the difference in Coach Staley's discussion of the unfortunate mess at the end of this extraordinary game, and Coach Mulkey's discussion. Not a surprise, Coach Staley took the high road by addressing what she could have done better to keep what happened, happening. She was gracious and left her fire outside the presser room.

Let me say , I don’t condone fighting in basketball whatsoever. Anyone who has played knows how intense and heated you can get in the moment. But Kim Mulkey saying “I wish she would’ve pushed angel reese…pick on someone your own size” is the dumbest and most problematic response as a coach. Watching it back, Flaujae initiated contact , both holding Fulwiley and shoving Watkins. Again, I’m not condoning this but some players do NOT play about their teammates and unfortunately can’t control their anger in the moment. Cardoso saw her teammate getting shoved, started seeing red, and came in for “the kill.” Flaujae shoved her teammate so she shoved FLAUJAE. Was she supposed to run over and shove angel for what Flaujae did? If angel was the one to shove her, I’m certain Kamila would’ve done the same thing. I don’t think it mattered who it was , she was going to respond in that way regardless. Was it right ? Of course not! But this pick on someone your own size argument doesn’t work in this situation.

Flaujae Johson was the match that lit the fire. She showed a lack of maturity due to turning the ball over and baited SC into retaliating. No excuses for what Johnson did, throwing an elbow on the way to her bench or how Cardoso responded. However, the biggest disappointment is Mulkey's comment about how she wishes Cardodo would have pushed Reese. You are supposed to guide and teach these young ladies about how to play, how to win, and more importantly how lose with dignity and respect. I've lost all respect for Mulkey. Kim, do us a favor and exhibit some humility. It might make you attractive.

That was why Cardoso came in, she saw her grab the freshmen then push another teammate, she reacted poorly in the situation, but she was protecting her teammates. I’m not condoning the fight but Angel Reese plays dirty all year and was even showed in the game pulling on peoples hair and it’s just brushed over. I get why she’s mad for her team but she makes some dirty plays herself

Kim is right…When a game gets chippy like that and starting to get out of hand, it really is the refs job to get it under control..Also, LSU is banged up, down players and they gave SC a run for their money.. If LSU gets healthy and gets all its players back, which is should, watch out.. Kim is right to be happy where her team is at…SC is beatable …

Unfortunately this isn't about moral victories. Don't blame South Carolina or Dawn Staley because she can recruit . A loss is a loss. Let's move on. Good game until it does not turn out the way you want it to.

It's sad to hear a Coach say in a post game interview that she wish that Cardosa would have pushed Angel. Could you afford to lose her for the next game 🤔 ? What about her future ? Her NIL deal ?Maybe , maybe not. Isn't there young ladies that look up to Angel as a role model ? I'm sure that they wouldn't want to see her fighting showing that kind of sportsmanship. Explain that statement Coach ? Basketball is suppose to be fun.
