In match two there was an interesting interaction where you could have used the Stomper as ramp. You had a lullmage familiar with two mana and hadn't played a land for the turn, so you could have returned a tapped land to your hand and ramped out the familiar too.

I'm coming back to this game after about a year hiatus and I was so happy when you mentioned "it might have been weird to see me take the random white land/creatures." That was my exact reaction in the draft but I saw in the play up til that point how powerful they were. Definitely learned my lesson and will be taking them more often now. I learned something today that's for sure, thanks so much for the educational content.

I woulda taken the gecko over the familiar. That thing does WORK, the cost reduction is no joke. The familiar is of course good but I'd rather have a gecko over it in any kicker deck

And in addition to that, the gecko is monocolored and hence less likely to wheel than the familiar is.

I've found that most players on Arena who say 'nice' are often arrogant pricks. Not all of course : ) Then there's the players who say "good game" when they're about to win. Someone needs to talk to those people about gaming protocol, smh.
@chemset475
@chemset475 3 жыл бұрын
I like to say nice when someone is playing a unique deck and they play something on theme (like a sweet enchantment or something). Early gg when you're winning though is definitely never appropriate. I beat someone on a complicated combat who early gg'ed me the other day and it was my most satisfying win in years xD I just follow gl and gg protocol that Reid Duke follows, I've always found that the most sound.
@Lightmane
@Lightmane 3 жыл бұрын
@@chemset475 I like saying "nice" too, but the moment they say it all the time is when I get suspicious, but LSV's opponent said gg in defeat, so that was cool. Maybe he really meant 'nice' and not "I'm gonna crush you"
