Here Comes is a nearly perfect power pop song. Instrumental, vocal and lyrical hooks galore. Pixies are still killing it!

Oddly, "HCYM" is a song that Charles wrote at a very young age, 12-14 i think, he was apparently trying to write a song that could have been by The Beatles.

David Lovering an incredible yet, under appreciated drummer. And, Paz Lenchantin NAILS the vocals on Gigantic, so good. I will ALWAYS love this band

So I saw the Pixies in Santa Barbara at the Bowl in the early 90's, I think around 1993. I got into shows because I worked Security as a side job. I was told to keep people out of the pit. As soon as the Pixies hit the stage everyone rushed us and I got the hell out of the way, it was amazing to feel the power of a large group of mobbing people. Great concert, love the Pixies, they sound great after all these years!

I saw them last night in Edinburgh. They were unbelievably good. All amazing musicians and frank looking really fit full of energy. Best night of the decade by a mile.

Why fuss over better or worse? Paz fits in fine today and Kim is the original. They are both wonderful musicians and they both deserve respect, love & admiration.

They always had the songs and with Paz on board there’s no more conflicts or drama so they can continue playing concerts! Bowie said they were Americas best band! That high praise coming from him and he even covered one of their songs in concert. Cobain said Teen Spirit was his attempt at writing a Pixies song. So he was a fan as well.

I went to see them live in Rome on 27/06/2022 because I know their are an alternative rock's legend and I wish to see Paz playing her bass. Although I don't know their music so well I really enjoy the show.

Saw them in Curitiba (Brazil) 2004 and gonna see them again in Rio next october. I love Paz, she's wonderful and replaces Kim so well.

What? She has to play the song to sound like it does on recordings....it's a Pixies song.....isn't it? It is NOT a cover band!? It is a shame that Frank and Kim cannot overcome their personal differences but Paz is a wonderful musician and does an awesome job. Fits in just fine!!!She is the rare Pixies member who actually learnt how to play many instruments the "traditional" way....the rest of them (which is awesome!!!!) basically taught themselves how to play. If you hear their history, Kim joined when she couldn't play anything and did not even own a bass! True "punk master musicians" where they teach themselves how to play, yet come up with these genius 'independent pop-punk' songs that had an impact on so many bands that came after them. Kurt Cobain admiringly said, "this is the band he should have been a member of, if he wasn't already in a band" and this is before Nirvana were famous. Pixies influenced so many other bands from the 1980's onward... ahead of their time!@@johnwilkesbo

Charles done a solo acoustic set at Féile ‘90 and was absolutely brilliant. Still has it today. Great band!!
