Howdy howdy LT👍🤓👍. It'll be noisy there till they get that bridge done. Guys were out there yesterday on that pillar behind ya with the small boat tide to it by the boat launch. Ain't nothin out there that wont bite the good ole 🪱.👍

Great work LT! The only rivers I know in MI are the St. Clair and then the Saginaw, and both look like they definitely produce some fish!

I've heard good things about the st clair and detroit but I'm not sure they could beat the Saginaw it's an amazing fishery

@@LTOutdoors15 seems like it! I mainly do the St. Louis river (flows from the very tip of Lake Superior) or the upper part of the Mississippi River here in MN. Maybe one day I'll make it over to the mitten for fishing!

The mud flat you're over there, in front of the middle bridge support is a good spot for cats. They absolutely love leeches too, I was out there last year, the 'eyes weren't biting, so I rigged up a leech on a dropshot rig. Caught a bunch of 5-10lb cats on the steelhead rod, tons of fun.

Awesome video! While i agree with you on the nightcrawlers, alot of the areas i fish here in PA, a crawler gets picked apart by sunfish before a cat ever gets a chance. Thats why cutbait is king where i am.

Those clouds and night crawlers are perfect catfish weather. I’m going next week a couple days. They are some of my favorite to eat if fried right. Thanks for taking us along. Did you eat your suckers or make trapping bait.

That river is great even on bright sunny days for cats I think because it's so dirty lol. Thanks 😊🙌👊 nope haven't eaten the suckers yet but we're gonna smoke them. I'm going to record how rick does it

I use orange floating jigs with weight a foot under so it stays off the bottom. Nonstop action all day on the saggy

I have on vanetten lake but that's it so far. Tried to get some on the AuSable river backwaters but never got into them. Is there a bunch in Houghton?

@@LTOutdoors15 looks like the state record came out of Houghton Lk in 1960 .. I’ve never targeted them there but seems they’d have to be there … I think it was 40lb !

Hey! Honestly this time of year is tough up this way as far as catching a bunch of fish species. If you have a boat I'd say hit some of the small inland lakes for panfish and bass. The river isn't going to have much going on unless you're after steelhead

@@LTOutdoors15 we don’t have a boat in right now we’ve been mainly fishing van ettan dam Cooke dam and whirlpools and have only had a pike bite on a perch that we threw out but that snapped off besides that we haven’t had much is there any type of lure or live bait they’re biting right now

@SportsCastle49 well I wouldn't toss any more perch out just because pike doesn't open till next weekend and they can get you for targeting them out of season. You can go down to whirlpool and throw mepps spinners along the gravel, the steelhead should be around there real good right now.

Yep, always ate them out of the AuSable river and augres river too. They all come out of lake huron and I trust any fish I catch more than any store meats lol

@LTOutdoors15 Get yourself a p d f inflatable. They're comfortable.You can wear it underneath your hoodie.It doesn't interfere with anything. Please brother, as we get older.We need to take care of ourselves. If you went over your chances of getting to that life track, it would be fifty-fifty. I'll be. Coming up this summer to Oscoda soon. I've been looking at those I really like some of them I never liked the I'd fashion bulky ones. Rick got one this spring they're pretty cool looking nowadays. 🤞 so far I've never flipped my kayak and I'm a damn good swimmer but I'll try and get one as soon as I can🙌

@LTOutdoors15 Just had 1 twenty year old die on lake saint clair. 2 of them They were in wet suits on a jet ski but no flotation. One died and the other one is in a coma. It's the cold water shock. It's all the things that come into play that you never think of in that moment. If you like find one you like from bass pro shop Or frank's cause I know that's up north. You gotta try them on make sure they're sized right for you .Then let me know and I'll buy it for you and have it sent to you. I have no problem with it brother.
