Mannnn even though you didn't do it for me I really appreciate you mentioning the stopping the blades when going to the next cutting task.... I hated when my bot would cut on the way to the next location leaving a bad cut line all the way across my lawn..... good call on the one. MAMMOTION is doing a DAMN good job with this product.

Good video describing the different mowing task modes. I hope Mammotion has it on their software task list to look at optimizing the efficiency of how the Luba cuts. It waste a fair amount of time, battery and increases wear & tear on the Luba in the way it goes from one side of the property to the other numerous times during cutting. I've noticed it leaving several uncut lines in several locations around the property because of where they are located. It will continue to cut and then all of a sudden as if it just realized it missed something it will turn around and head back over to the uncut lines and do them. All in all I am happy with my Luba. I can say it is better today then when I fist received mine back in May 2023. Mammotion is making progress and appears to be listening to people. I sincerely hope they make it and gets their keister together on Service Support. Thanks again for your videos. Looking forward to your next one. These are almost better than watching Korean Dramas.

My luba delivery has been delayed for the second time! As i watch these sucess stories i also see the broken blade disk that cant be bought, the broken axels and the I found my luba in the neighbors yard stories, hoping i get one that functions correctly and the antenna full of water problem has been fixed! Sitting here with fingers crossed.

You have to remember online forums have a strong bias for things going wrong. The thousands of people that have Lubas working correctly don't get on the forum to share that, Just the people that are upset because something went wrong. My advice to anybody would be to purchase through Amazon and also consider the extra Amazon add on warranty.

@@Crazypostman I have seen a guy on KZfaq seed his lawn with a new variety of zoysia. That might be a good bet if you want a warm season grass. Also will do ok in the shade. Other option is to go for a cool season grass like Kentucky 31 tall fescue or similar. Both good options but zoysia will need less water in summer. With fescue you will need to water frequent to stay green in summer.

Thanks for the overview. I have now received my luba. Last evening I could not find it in the garden and already thought it was stolen. Then I eventually found it in the forrest next to our yard. Way outside the mapped parameter. Really wired! I wonder if the RTK antenna needs to receive an update. Hard to imagine where this bug came from...

Tested 2 no-go zon lapses the other day but it seemed like the luba mowed the outer lapse two times and not the inner lapse. Like it left a Luba wide path of grass around the no-go zones.

If you choose say a single grid pattern, then choose an offset of say 40°, will it mow 40° from the last time that zone was mowed or 40° from parallel with the starting side? I have it on a schedule to mow 5 zones and want Luba (named Chuck) to rotate 40° every time it mows without me having to adjust the angle every time. Also, any chance Mammotion will change the way no go zone borders are mowed to do them as Luba gets to them in the programming instead of doing all of them BEFORE the zig zag pattern?
@Crazypostman
@Crazypostman 10 ай бұрын
The no-go-zone suggestion is great I hope Mammotion implements this... I find this degree offset seams to be 40°from what ever it does for it's efficient setting. I've hurd of ppl doing a manual mow every day of the week and just changing it by 10° everyday.

Crazy, what's the purpose of having Luba mow the perimeter three times? Isn't once enough?
@Crazypostman
@Crazypostman 10 ай бұрын
Maybe it gives it more room to turn around so it doesn't have to be so close to the edge? In my front yard right next to the street is a pretty good angle If it goes around three or four times it's further up that hill then if it only goes around once so it's easier for it to turn around. I suppose it's mostly just personal preference. I'm sure it would be fine if you just chose one.
@andyfeimsternfei8408
@andyfeimsternfei8408 10 ай бұрын
It also drastically reduces the likelihood of Luba getting stuck. Perimeters often are on the edge of rough areas, which trip up the mower if it has to turn every time at the edge of the cut area.

I wonder why it seem such an issue when Luba looses satelite connection as I thought that this is what the RTK antenna is for.
@Crazypostman
@Crazypostman 11 ай бұрын
Lubas GPS matters equally, the way RTK works is Luba compares its GPS to what the RTK is sending and uses that information correct the error in its own GPS. The number of shared satellites between the two is what is important If Luba does not have enough satellites there's obviously going to be not enough shared between the two to see what the difference is and correct it.

Hello Crazypostman I can see that you have 2 channels where Luba goes through the gate towards the front yard. My Luba went bonkers when I hade 2 channels that crossed one over the other. Try deleting the channel to your small patch of grass and see if your Luba still has problems getting from one yard to the other. Maybe the problem you have is because both channels cross one over the other instead of going one next to the other.
@Crazypostman
@Crazypostman 10 ай бұрын
I will try this but ultimately I will always need two channels unless I decide not to automate that tiny strip
@emilbreznik5723
@emilbreznik5723 10 ай бұрын
@@Crazypostman I was thinking of deleting the short channel, just to see if luba behaves better. Right now, your Luba acts confused not knowing which channel it should use, and sometimes it even goes onto your little pacth of grass, and then finally figures out it went on the wrong channel, and returns back onto the concrete. I think that you should remake both channels. The one to the front yard 2 inches right and the one to the small patch of grass 2 inches to the left of the center of the gate passing. Draw lines with chalk if that helps you navigate. And once you get past the gate, try to seperate both channels as far apart as possible. Hope that solves your problem.
