I must say I kinda underestimated this movie. It was a great catch to see how the trailer is made. BUT the STORY IS REALLY SOMETHING!!! I just finished watching this, with my family. I WAS REALLY MOVED and didn't even realize I already shed a tear towards the end. ITS JUST AMAZING!!! If you've watched COCO, this one will surely be a treat!!. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. DISNEY-PIXAR DID IT AGAIN!💫

I just watched this whole movie and it was beautiful😭❤ cause I know Disney's message in this movie "Accept each other even though we have differences and embrace it"😭😭❤❤❤❤. And our differences should not be a problem or hinder us to accept each other and love each other unconditionally with the warmest embrace. This wasnt just about a fish boy and his friends they are sending a message for what we should do with whats going on in the world today Well done Disney😭😭😭❤❤❤.

This is true, but notice how the entire village is stereotyped as pasta loving people who say “Santa (insert cheese here)”. All people, even in a predominantly white community, do not need stereotype. All men, women, trans, flowerpots, whatever are all one and the same species, and you do not to mock one group cos they live in Italy, or Africa, or Jordan, or China. The film is definitely not perfect in promoting the message, but it’s closer than basically everything else that takes place in Europe/The Middle East.

Wow. I am amazed with thè similarity between the real background and the animated one. It indeed gave me memories of summer in Italy. I love Luca too. His character reminds me of the timid part of me. I must say "Luca" is the Best cartoon i have come across in my 19 years of living.💓

My review on it, Good things: I think the story is a little bland but still good The art is great the characters are great The movie is also pretty funny I can’t lie The plot is smart and the end when Luca go’s to school is heartbreaking dude’s Bad things: the bad guy thing is not so all that good, I think there should be at least 1 more character that is like a main character, and maybe more time with the cat would be nice because he/she is really funny, Full review: to me it’s 8.2/10 and number 7 on my list

Alberto introduces himself as "Alberto Scorfano", which means "Alberto Scorpionfish"; then Luca says he's "Luca Paguro", "Luca Hermit Crab" - they're both using these fish names as if they were their last names. Alberto then introduces himself again saying "Piacere, Girolamo Trombetta": an earlier comment explained that this means "Nice to meet you, (I'm) Girolamo Trumpet". I might be wrong on the English translation of the exact fish breeds because I'm not a fishing expert, so I resorted to wikipedia. One fun fact is that "scorfano" can also figuratively mean "very ugly".
