1986 Silver Jubilee most handsome man most beautiful singing voice

I recorded this concert on vhs when it was first shown on tele in the early 80s and watched it hundreds of times since .Its far and away the best classical concert anyone has ever given. Pure gold .What a gift to mankind this wonderful, wonderful singer left us.

I had the honor to meet Pavarotti backstage four of the six times that I had seen him in opera & concert in San Francisco in 1977-1982. I was a teenager, and I brought an album for him to autograph. While I had waited in line to meet him, a man who was with Pavarotti approached me to tell me that he was Pavarotti's photographer and that he had taken the photo on the cover album that I was holding. He called Luciano over to take a photo with me, and LP put his arm over my shoulder while the man took the photo. LP talked with me briefly, and it has left a lasting impression and wonderful memory. R.I.P. great Maestro, you are very much missed, but never forgotten.

When this concert came on TV in the late eighties I became a fan of Luciano Pavarotti and the Italian Opera. That has remained so today. Since then, I'm waiting for this fantastic concert to be released on DVD, so I'm glad I can now watch it on KZfaq. I miss Luciano Pavarotti and his incredible voice every day. During our Italy holidays I visited his grave four times. Then I close my eyes and hear him singing "che gelida manina". Thank you Maestro, R.I.P !!!

there are so any superlatives for his voice, it rings, its I scintillating, it is so beautiful and goes from sweet to rumbling like a diesel, every adjective of favourable quality can be applied, and he looks so good when he is singing, his mouth is always formed beautifullyand he doesnt drool, and strain, and throw his head back in desperation to reach notes. hes altogether the best male voice of all time.

Pavarotti has a unique voice. He makes music fit for the angels as he reaches the high Cs. His mid ranges are melodic and smooth that just seem a force of nature. I get lost in his voice and just seem to float. His voice was God's gift to us.
