June 3, 2023 I only saw Pavarotti once in a very short concert and I have always felt a serenity and ready to take my place in the next life, knowing that I go there with his music, his voice, and just how good he makes me feel to listen to him sing.

Yes, but don’t forget the music of the angels. I think that is the reason why so many love Pavoratti and his sweet voice. It was on the threshold of Heaven.

A beautiful voice, so pristine in its prime, a wonderful soul that is so effusive about life and its diverse sensations. What greater wealth can a human covet? Perhaps only the luxury of lounging in a hammock under the crispy Mediterranean sun after a hearty meal and talking about silence.

What a magnificent gift! This interview was like a drive down a long, winding, hilly road filled with shocks of beauty, fresh air, vibrant colors and lush surprises at the summit where you then look down upon a breathtaking valley of sparkling lights. I was carried from wonderful moment to phenomenal moment, dipped in music, spattered with art, enthralled by these two witty and perfectionist giants of the stage. I felt like a friend in the living room, part of the scene where these two masters of their craft share their love and respect for each other and the pleasure of their company. Pavarotti was just as I imagined him to be, at home, secure, relaxed surrounded by the sun and the sea. I was blessed to see him in concert at the Esplanade in Boston, where he gave a free concert as part of the crowd scene for the movie, “ Yes Giorgio”, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia where his “Ingemisco” from Verdi Requiem received a sustained ovation and at the 50 th Anniversary of The San Francisco Opera, where I actually met him along with members of the opera symphony. An extraordinary man, who has made an indelible mark on humanity and brought classical music and opera from unaffordable spaces to the masses. In his time, Pavarotti brought a bit of heaven to earth. Peter and Pavarotti rest in peace and thank you. MBT 8/28/2023

Trank you so much. I saw it on TV back then with a German translation. I've been looking for this for many years and haven't found it. This interview brought me to opera. As long as I live. My wife saw this for the first time today and was very touched. Pavarotti says things…. like a tragic prediction of his own life. He was such a great singer.

What was the sentence he answered with to "what makes you angry?" Did he say "when somebody is.. pretends to be.. stupid?" I get the gist is he doesn't think anyone should be judged by another human but didn't understand the exact answer.

Pavarotti is confusing English people with Welsh, who are immersed in music - similar to Italians.
@lindamarshall-wc4yt7 ай бұрын
I notice you kept out the astoundingly rude comments made by Ustinov, where after enjoying Pavarotti's hospitality, the documentary ends at a later time with Ustinov totally trashing the great tenor as though it is relevant whether or not he enjoyed the food and drink served him. I used to like Peter Ustinov, but he is just a boor with no manners and not much talent.
