The Great Luciano at his Prime singing for me his Best “Nessun Dorma” with Subin Mehta conducting the New York Philarmonic Orchestra Live in New York in 14 January 1980!! Hope to enjoy! Before he starts, someone in the audience yells "DORMA!", at which point he and Zubin look at each other, shrug, nod, and proceed to give the finest version ever of Nessun Dorma.

He set the bar really really high. This is the best Nessun I‘ve heard from him, and also the most chilling I ever heard. Luciano was perfect in the 80s.

He's the best ever let's get that out of the way. I don't want to be wrong on this, but I am pretty sure that in this performance. He had no microphone at all. He fills the entire concert hall with his voice nobody else has done that

I will always have the 1994 performance as my favorite. At that time, Pavs was REALLY a seasoned tenor, and he was more focused on delivering the emotion than the perfect technique, and it shows. This one may be even more precise and flawless than the Three Tenors 1994 Nessun Dorma, but the amount of passion and the little imperfections of that particular performance is what makes it a true masterpiece.
