I'm a big Lucifer fan and love the new record. Their sound and vibe reminds me of something from a Russ Meyer film. Very nostalgic for sure!

Lucifer's logo looks like the original Rush logo! Also, the bell at the beginning of one of the songs reminds me of Candlemass. 4:41 This sounds like "Hotel California" by Eagles mixed with "Suite Madame Blue" by Styx.

I like these guys, especially Sardonis (she has a beautiful voice). I've got their first four albums, so of course I will order Lucifer V. I lump them in with bands such as Ghost, Danzig, Green Lung and some other female-fronted stoner/doom bands. Unfortunately, some people here in the "Bible Belt" can't seem to get past their name. I thought that most had learned their lesson with the likes of Jim Baker, Swaggart, Oral Roberts, Pat Robertson, etc. It's music. It's all music and the Devil is The Minister of Music (ha-ha!).

Yeah, I know what you are saying. I used to be like that by avoiding bands with very satanic names, but now I give everything a chance and if you read the lyrics, the songs are more about expressing dark and occult themes. The band is very talented.

Hi John!!! Cool review..... last night i was watching a VCLT Aaron Mutha Alamare recieved and was this album, he palyed one song, a really good one. I could easily hear King Diamond doing vocals on that tune, lol..... now i will have to check their previous stuff too. cheers and be well

Amazing voice, in interviews recently she wished she had been born in the 60s she loves that era and she had to track back. Fantastic music

Thanks, I hate it. I think it's another poser band that tries really hard to sound like something from a bygone decade of the 20th century. It's all everyone ever does apparently.That's why rock & metal are dead. There's always more bullshit nostalgia and more stuff to be ruminated and regurgitated instead of doing something of creative and artistic relevance.

I get that. They are not for everyone, but they have a target audience of people looking for bands with an old proto-metal sound.
