Johanna, the vocalist of Lucifer, delves into the highly anticipated release of their album, "Lucifer V," scheduled for January 26, 2024. Johanna offers an in-depth discussion on the album's potential impact, exploring whether it will propel the band to greater heights and broaden their fan base.
In this conversation, Johanna also shares her creative process, focusing on her songwriting approach and the intricacies of transitioning from acoustic to electric guitar. We gain insights into the artistic journey behind "Lucifer V."
The episode takes a closer look at the band's recent shift from Century Media to Nuclear Blast, shedding light on the reasons behind this transition. Additionally, we highlight the significant contributions of Nicke Andersson, Johanna's husband and a renowned figure from Sweden, with bands like Nihilist, Entombed, and the Hellacopters.
Johanna opens up about her collaboration with Helmut of Belphegor during the recording of "Glorifying the Devils," offering a behind-the-scenes perspective on that unique experience in the studio.
Delving into history, we discuss the fall of the Berlin Wall and its impact on those who lived under collectivism. Johanna provides profound first-hand insights and personal reflections.
As a special segment, we address the enduring popularity of heavy metal in Germany, a question frequently asked on the show. Johanna shares her thoughts on why this genre has maintained its strong presence in the country, drawing from her own perspective and experiences.

Yeah I’m having a lot more conversations like this. NB gives a band access to the network but all the hard work is still on the bands shoulders.

A lot of bands think if they just get signed they are good to go but the truth is they still have to do most of it hahahh Times have changed for sure. @@ScarsandGuitarspodcast
