I completely agree. I wasn't trying to compare it to any actual religion. I just saw a theory online and since I'm an Orthodox Christian, I view Hazbin hotel from a different lense, and the theory to me, made total sense. Although I must say that I do think Viv actually is expressing her criticism not on christian faith as a whole, but rather the Catholic church and their Hypocritical ways through the character of Adam

What will most likely happen going forward is that the conflict between angels and demons will continue to escalate, the angels will continue to be painted in a bad light while demons will be made to be good for the sake of the plot because that’s all this show is at it’s core and you cannot convince me otherwise. Charlie will then somehow bullshit a few of the sinners to being redeemed and getting into Heaven. The angels will then either allow it because they realise that they’re hypocrites and just as bad or it will worsen the bad blood between them and war will be declared for one reason or another by one of the two factions . The angels will then get beaten into submission and they will have no choice but to let the sinners into Heaven without them actually earning it. All the while, God will probably just take a back seat until the end where 1 of 3 things could happen: 1. He gets intimidated by Hell’s revolt and lets the sinners in, letting Charlie have her way. 2. He will help everyone come to a truce and then an agreement where everyone is satisfied. 3. He will step in to shut the whole ordeal down and he will get defeated somehow, giving the two factions the freedom to do whatever they want. Also, I will gladly listen to people’s theories, but they are still just theories and don’t matter compared to what’s actually being shown or told. And Episode 6 only further confirms my stance.

+ the fact that god might not even be in the series. After watching the newest 2 episodes I can only say that I agree with your prediction. As much as I could understand from these new episodes, Viv doesn't understand a thing about Christianity, not a single thing. There is always the possibility that the series is a metaphor of sorts, where heaven is the church (most likely catholic) and hell are normal people. And she's trying to show how hypocritical the church and it's leaders actually are. If not then this is just a strike on Christianity for a simple fact that it doesn't allow LGBTQ, hits why there are so many queer characters, and the show is trying to fight against the rules. If this is true, the biggest problem is not whether Lucifer is portrayed as he should be or not. The biggest problem is that if it was any other religion, ppl would go ape shit, but since it's Christianity it's completely fine to have a personal "take" on the story khm-mocking-khm

Please give feedback on what I type next: Here’s what it would be like if I wrote Hazbin Hotel: I’m fine with people not being in Hell just because they are LGBTQ. I would however write it so that is a sin to GIVE INTO the LGBTQ lifestyle and indulge in it’s sins. I would make Lucifer and Lilith the evil beings that they’re supposed to be and keep them that way. I would still make Lucifer the ultimate ruler of Hell, but I would make the other embodiments of sin like Satan, Asmodeus and Beelzebub just different aspects of the devil since they are all technically just different names that the devil goes by. I would write it so that Lucifer is the one that organised the yearly extermination because although he will need forces to battle God and the angels in the End Times, he also strongly desires the death and destruction of God’s precious human beings. Plus there’s the fact there will always be newcomers to Hell every day. I would stick with the population culling reason for the yearly extermination that was shown in the pilot. I would have the exterminators be fallen angels that do a yearly slaughter of demons to try and get back into God’s good books. I would also keep the concept of Vaggie being an angel because it gives her a reason to try and help Charlie’s cause. I would also have them just be close friends and not in a relationship but still have Charlie be bisexual so that the fanfic writers and Charlie X Reader stories won’t struggle too much with writing their stuff. I know that they will always be writing shipping or Charlie X Reader fanfics no matter what, so I may as well make things less complicated for them. I would have Charlie do the type of rehabilitation procedures that normal human society does since Hell is portrayed to be a warped version of Earth. And since even the worst of demons know precisely who Jesus is, I would also have her teach the word of the Bible to the sinners and how accepting Jesus is ultimately the only true way to be redeemed and make it to Heaven. To add some stakes to the show, going back to how Lucifer and Lilith are the evil beings they actually are and how they desire the destruction and punishment of the sinners, I would have them be constantly against Charlie. I would have them make the threat that if Charlie manages to send so much as ONE sinner to Heaven, they will tear the hotel down and stop her in her tracks. Finally, there’s the matter of how exactly the sinners will be able to be redeemed and sent to Heaven. For this, God would simply have a soft spot for Charlie and would make an exception for her and give her a chance. Since He sees all and knows all, He will know if the sinners are truly ready. He would promise Charlie that He will transform the sinners and bring them to Heaven but ONLY if they are able to actually prove themselves, give up their way of sin, and truly intend to be with Him in His kingdom. And so, Charlie’s ultimate uphill battle would be to try and actually change and redeem the sinners while trying her best to keep her parents from tearing down her hotel. This way, the plot would be less complicated and the show would be enjoyed by a lot more people. Please tell me if you think my ideas for the show are better or not.

Imma be completely honest, that's how I'd do the show too. Although I would focus on making the existing characters a blend of their original portrayals from the bible and for the seven deadly sins I would make their original sin the focus of their personality (example: Lucifer would be so prideful that he goes delulu and actually thinks his actions are right) and for the plot I'd just add something for, say, second season of the show where Lucifer tries to get more humans into hell and actually goes to earth with other demons. I'd do this just so I could show off the archangels more, especially Michael. Overall I like your version of the story a lot
