If, by very few, do you mean less than a hundred? There’s even a series of six albums called Lou’s Jukebox where she either covers one artist (Dylan, Tom Petty, The Stones) or a style music e.g. Muscle Shoals. But you’re right, she does nail them.

I have been in the room with them. An entire career listening at sound boards. Blah blah blah, stories are gossip. But this voice has no peers. She don't care. Like all genuine artists, she does her primal best to be herself.

Excellent cover. Interesting how they worked around the part in the studio recording that relies on the choir. They did a good job of that.

Yes, and thank you! They are all exceptional musicians, and are given the recognition and credit they deserve, by Lucinda Williams, on each album and cd of Lu’s Jukebox Series (Volumes 1-6). I have listed their names and associated instruments, on various conversational threads regarding the songs on Lu’s Jukebox Series. Now, I will figure out how to list the names of each of these musicians on my channel this week. They are truly outstanding. Thank you for addressing this with me! I hear she cant play guitar because of the stroke,but she can still sing..stroke can take 5 years or more to recover from but shes doing good,its been tougher for me but she gives me reason to keep trying

@robertbudney654 - she is gaining some use of her left-hand back, which is very helpful as she’s putting new songs together. Yes, people like Lucinda give us reasons to keep trying. Don’t ever give up.💕

Were these done before or after her stroke?

Lucinda Williams had a stroke on 11/17/2020. Her stroke occurred after she had recorded Lu’s Jukebox Vol.1 - Vol. 6. She had a blood clot on the right side of her brain which did not affect her speech or singing. After a week in intensive care followed by physical rehabilitation, Lucinda correctly said “Can’t keep me down for too long” - Lucinda Williams. After her stroke, Lucinda Williams is back on stage again, and is touring this summer. Although she is unable to play guitar with her left hand, she’s still got that amazing voice.
