I was in Iron Station, NC last year and I brought a nice prospecting rig with me. That area is nothing but stained quartz. We found a NC emerald and some gold.

Doug once told me that 2 guys dredged all summer under that bridge right there and took around 58 ounces of gold out the creek.

Thanks Rick and its gonna be a cool experience and looking at some hefty gold from it as well! Me and Adam will be out in California come January camping and prospecting for 2weeks straight its going to be a wild trip and video

The dirt that you are running came out of the creek and has probably been run before. Everything is salted there. Their equipment is made to make sure you lose gold. Your better off to just highbank a scoop in your own highbanker than to be involved with the wash plant.

Yeah I always find more gold with my own equipment. But I expect that as well. Alot of people have beat on them highbankers over the years so who knows. I've been to lucky strike. Thermal city and few other very small pay to pay operations and there all good folks trying to make a dollar off of historic gold finds. Its cool and I enjoy it but I do see what your saying. One things for sure. Once u have the gold fever you never stop

What a waste of time, you could make more money picking up cans on the side of 221. Someone besides you are making money. At least you made enough money to cook out
