Troy North Carolina Day Trip - Episode #4. I ride my motorcycle to Pisgah Covered Bridge. I stretch my legs and walk around the path. Then, I visit Troy North Carolina. I stop at Uwharrie Mercantile and visit with the owner, Dana Dawson.
My last stop is to find out more about the first gold rush in U.S. history. I pull off in the Uwharrie National Forest and scout around for abandoned gold mines.
This is another chapter in Our North Carolina story.
