Ludwig's Behind The Beat Episode 3 features Russian Circles drummer Dave Turncratz. Dave is currently on the road in support of Russian Circle's latest release Memorial on Sargent House Records. His current rig is a Ludwig Vistalite Clear in 14x26 BD, 10x14 TT, 16x16 FT, and a 6.5x14 Supraphonic Snare drum.

Seen them in Houston years ago. omg. One of the best shows ever. No lights or glitz. just a great journey of music through their set.

He is one of the finest drummer at present. He is a virtuoso of the highest order. Very meaningful, emotionally present playing style

Its been almost three years since I've seen them, but I still remember how electric that night was and how they blew my 13 year old brain out the back of my skull. I still beat myself up over the fact that I talked with Brian Cook at the merch table for a few minutes without realizing that this was the dude who just rocked my socks off. I bought Geneva and said "Dude,this my favorite Russian Circles album" to which he replied "Yeah man,its my favorite too!".

Dave has had some pretty sweet kits. I love these sizes as I have the same in Ludwig Classic Maples and really dig them. Great playing Dave!

@mitchwilkinson4327 the ones in this video are traditional finish...brilliant cymbals ( in general) have a releflective mirror like finish and a more higher pitched tone

it's kinda confusing figuring out their genre. I asked some dude if they were both rock and metal, and he was like "yeah". I said "so they're alternative?", and he said no.
