Lugh is arguably one of the most well known and best loved of the Irish mythological characters. Lugh is most known as a god of storms, particularly thunderstorms. He is also portrayed as a warrior, a king, a master craftsman and a saviour.
He was also known as a Sun-God, and the god of the all-important harvest and he was also a Druid.

Fun Fact: Lugh is the father/incarnation of the Irish hero Cu Chulainn.

There a connection between Lugh and Thoth,,one of the names for Thoth is Thoth the Thrice Born,born 3 times. But in the story of Satanta,he was born 3 times,the first time he died of a fever,the second time murdered by his mum,because she wasnt married,but the 3rd time,he lived.

@@theskippy7there also seems to be connections with Cu Chulainn and the Mayan K’uk’ulkan. The world is a crazy place. I also recently learned that in Hinduism, the figure Brahma has a wife Saraswati, and I immediately thought of the biblical Abraham and his wife Sarah 🙃 something is up, surely it’s not all just coincidental happenstance

The Celtic druid gods are real gods my dead grandfather was a Celtic druid pagan I am a Norse pagan lord Odin and lord Thor are my gods I know very well that my gods are real I can feel my gods spiritual presents everyday

Lugh was called a trickster because of the cleaver strategies he employed in battle rather than facing enemy's in an one to one duel like was the custom not due to lying cheating or stealing although stealing was not beneath him. however I've never heard of Lugh lying or cheating in any of the mythological cycle.

As an Irish Pagan all my life when you are talking about our deities I don't think you should put or use the word Celtic because no real Irish Pagan does. Also the Celts were a lot of different cultures throughout several countries with different deities. Only a couple things I would change but overall a decent video 👍🏻

Thanks for the details! Yes. I know about this "issue". :) I use Celtic, and I used also in other videos exactly for the simple fact that Celtic is the main mythology and it is easier for the general viewers to identify the main mythology. Practically is the same thing with the Slavic Mythology for example... I say "Slavic Mythology" but in fact is Russian Mythology or Polish mythology

@@MythosTheHistorian1st off let me say I enjoy your content I only recently found your channel - please keep up the great work 👍🏻 Also I get why you're just using Celtic as a general term for people to find it easier. But when I watched your celtic gods & goddesses video you should differentiate between Irish, Britannia, Scotland... origins & deities because most people don't know the difference. For instance The Morrigan is Irish & Morgan Le Fay is Britannia she was a sorcerer not a goddess & 2 very different people.

@@optiksnipegaming9720 Irish has always used Irish. When people say Celtic you don't know technically what they're referring to not unless they say the old country. Because in ancient times it could have been where now England Scotland and France is - they also had different names.
