I would have to agree! The Paloma is my favorite Tequila cocktail. Margarita held that spot until I tried a Paloma made with grapefruit juice AND topped with grapefruit soda. Delicious!

Never tried with Aperol. For the second method I sometimes incorporate ube powder into the simple syrup. You get a purple/pink paloma that is so pretty everyone wants to try it.

I’ve made the Squirt Paloma with lime, 1/2 shot of agave syrup, 1.5 shot of Arette blanco and .5 shot of El Silencio mezcal. I liked it. It was a little Smokey and simple to make.

You need to try this receipe: We call it - Cuba or you can call it a Dirty Paloma or Dark Paloma (Example : Hey make me a Cuba) Salt rim add ice 1oz Tequila of choice 1oz Fresh Lime Juice (may leave a slice of lime in the drink) 1oz Fresh Squeezed orange juice (may leave a slice of orange in drink) 3-5 oz Squirt, leave a little space for next ingredient Top it off with 1-2 oz of Coca Cola give it a little mix and enjoy!

I might be in the minority but I prefer it with just Squirt/Jarritos and lime juice. No need to over-complicate an already delicious, simple drink.

I know bartending doesn't use them, but what are your thoughts on mixers? I use Tres Agaves organic mixers.

I would never use a mixer. It's so easy to make lime juice and a sweetener. I think they are all s waste of money and it tastes worse

Amazing cocktail! Unfortunately, squirt is not available where I’m from and I had to experiment quite a bit. Surprisingly, my favourite personal twist on a Paloma is with fresh grapefruit & lime juice AND topped with San Pellegrino Pomegranate (no simple syrup). Traditional? No. Tasty? Absolutely!

San Pellegrino also make a grapefruit soda (Pompelmo), I tried it and it's also nice in a Paloma ! :D Also tried with the brand "Thomas Henry" that makes a pink grapefruit soda, pretty nice as well. It's handy when you're a bit lazy to make the grapefruit soda by yourself using fresh fruits, even if it tastes way better like this of course !
