The boss fight with the Piano Ghost is the first in the game that will really challenge you. It’s got a number of phases that get progressively more difficult and it delivers some big hits, so it’s easy to get played by it. It’s also got some very specific phases of attack, so it’s easy not to know exactly what you need to do to beat it. However, you can follow along with the video to get some tips on how to take down the terror of Floor F4 The Grand Stage.

My biggest problem is aiming. It’s so difficult to aim the bomb correctly. The auto aim is so finicky and then I end up wasting time.

I play a lot of video games on console and PC, and this is the only game that has given me a lot of trouble aiming anything. Literally the worst aiming mechanics I’ve had to deal with in a long time.

For the most part I liked this boss, but aiming the bomb into the piano was tricky at times, as well as making sure you didn't suck up a ticking bomb that got in the way.

This has to be my favorite boss battle so far. So glad nintendo finally decided to bring back unique boss ghosts to LM3. I do miss the backstories though, I wish they'd incorporated that in the "gallery" section of E gad's lab

@Geoffrey Palmer it's not a lousy system just because you haven't enjoyed what you've tried. There are literally thousands of games of all sorts of genres and difficulty levels. Luigi's mansion generally isn't considered difficult outside of a few specific bosses, but if you're looking for something easier try Mariokart, Mario Maker, Animal Crossing, or one of a few Pokémon titles.

Hello, I just want to thank you for your video. It really helped as when I play videogames the boss battles are what I usually dread. I managed to defeat this boss with one attempt after watching your video (not counting the attempt I had without any help first). I appreciate you making this video as it really is helpful for people like me that buy videogames for content other than the boss battles. :)

I popped off SO HARD when amadeus hopped into his piano. It was pretty similar to the evil piano from Mario 64, which I loved as a kid.

hello!?? am I literally the only one that can't even suck him up enough to slam him down??? I don't know if I'm moving my control stick the wrong way or what but I haven't had a problem until now. Once you have the suction lock on direct your controller opposite to the direction the Piano ghost boss is pulling. That will result in its health going down. After a while the A buttons will appear for the slam.

There's a slight auto-aim, but it is a little unreliable. It's most effective right at the very beginning with the direction controls, but can wander.
