Clarence is actually faster though. Watch him snatch 90 kilos, he is considerably faster in the eccentric. For whatever reason it seems like Clarence powers the weight up faster than anyone else.
@TheSkatingreptile
@TheSkatingreptile 4 жыл бұрын
@@Sgtassburgler Well first, Clarence's best snatch is 192, Luis's is 155 (in competition). We're talking a sub-bodyweight snatch vs 20kg above bodyweight. They're not comparable. It's best to look at Clarence doing 180+ and Luis doing 145+. Not to mention, Clarence really puts force into his warmups. Luis isn't trying to rocket them the same way. Zlatan Vanev would be comparable for warmup speed and he's definitely faster than Clarence. Daniyar Ismayilov, Oleg Chen, Oleg Perepetchenov, Bozhidar Andreev, Valentin Hristov, Juan Solis, Ilya Ilyin in his prime...there are many faster athletes than Clarence. Not to knock on him, Clarence is also extremely fast.

Polar opposite of Lu Xiaojun. Let's see how long the knees hold up. Lu's minimalist approach to his lifts I believe has contributed to his overall health and being able to break a world record in his mid-thirties WHILE injured. Time will tell.

@@sabertoothwallaby2937Mosquera has an extreme emphasis on footwork jumping under the bar, like a kickback. Lu and most chinese lifters barely move their feet, only slightly 'slip' them outwards, which is likely better for longevity
