Lukas Nelson and his band, Promise of the Real, are an American rock n roll group based out of California. Lukas first picked up the guitar at age 11 to honor a promise he made to his father and was able to teach himself the craft by playing along to classic Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix songs. Lukas is building his following the old fashioned way by touring year round and delivering high energy performances to fans across the country, having performed with the likes of Neil Young, John Fogerty, Bob Weir, B.B. King, and Bob Dylan.

I just got back from watching the bodyguards wife movie and while I didn't really hear the song over all of the gunshots and explosions,,, I found the need to really try and listen to it after I got home. All I am going to say is Thank You and I hope your music helps other listeners.

this guy showed up at Stevie Wonder's benefit concert tonight in los angeles - said hello, asked the band to move over a half step, then brought the house down with this. got a standing ovation from the staples center. awesome to experience. one of my new favorite songs.

Mr. Lukas Nelson, it amazes me how a God given talent is not only passed through genetics, but also improved each generation. I've been blessed to walk this earth a little over 40 years now, but I've never heard a song that my soul feels like this one here! We been through drug addictions, infidelity, & lots of mistakes with my wife of 20 years, & this song is what years of unresolved issues & resentment towards each other feels like! Question I’m 71 and I’d like to know how can you not absolutely love this man and his music. The beat the music the lyrics oh lord all ages love it. Lukas Nelson has seriously found his own distinctive voice and style. He's been really developing into an amazing musician but with this album he has really arrived with his own unique blend of rock, country, funk, and cosmic music that's all uniquely his own sound. With songs like Just Outside of Austin you can hear the classic roots and his father's influence but Find Yourself shows that he's done just that and he has made a huge statement about this is definitely his own sound and his own music. The whole album is just amazing I think he's taken what he's learned from his father and Neil Young and he has put it all together with his own unique blend and we are lucky enough to be witnessing it because they are definitely just getting started. The music he did for A Star is Born is absolutely amazing and they deserve each of the awards they are nominated for. I can't wait to hear what is next from Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real because they have really hit their stride and it's only getting better and better. I am sure that it must be extra hard when you are the son of Willie Nelson and every single interview or review starts with someone saying that he's the son of Country Music Star Willie Nelson and he is always so gracious and courteous about it, but it has to be difficult trying to step out from behind that kind of shadow. Willie Nelson is a living legend but Lukas Nelson has really shown that he is his own man who also happens to be hugely talented. It's Awesome this is one of his best songs and the entire album is just one great song after another.

This slow tune sets my mood at the start of a Queensland summer day. This song and it’s lyrics are synchronous to my situation and the unusual and unnecessary disconnect I experienced from the man in my life 😢 Following on from that my warmest heartfelt condolences are being sent out to you Lukas, Willie and your extended family at the sad passing of Bobbie. She was a gentle and loveable soul. We had a warm conversation in her van after Willie’s show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. She asked me when I was coming back HOME to Texas from Australia 💙❤️🤍 She was the heart and soul of the team for an entire lifetime. God rest her soul in peace 🙏🏽🕯🕊

I watched you and your brother sing "blue eyes crying in the rain" with your dad and I cried my eyes out, it was just so beautiful. I grew up listening to your dad as I'm sure most everyone did but he's always been so great and such a funny man and so damn talented. As they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Your voice is so soothing and def takes me back a few years. Keep doin what you do because the world needs more singers like you that actually sing from the heart and it isn't all made by computers. I didn't watch the movie but this is my new favorite song. I'm so glad Lukas has found his own style of music. He has proved he can sound like his Dad and has his own groove going on! At this time in my life, I needed to hear this song. The band and backup singers are awesome too!
