‘We Interview Luke Parker To See What Really Happened On The Bachelorette, Conversations With Hannah Brown, His Faith And What’s Next’
Luke Parker. The Christian. The villain. Could there be more to the story?
We all mess up, it’s just not always on camera. For Luke P. it was on camera. All of his mess ups amplified by edits and replays for the whole world to see. He was brought to his knees by his own actions but the Lord can redeem everyone. In this video Luke opens up about the journey to rock bottom, and how the Lord has come through and helped him learn from his mistakes and grow for the better!

I had never heard of this man before your post that was aired, so I looked up the show and my jaw dropped, could not believe it and then I watch this video and I can totally tell a difference between the man in that show and the man sitting with you guys. I’m absolutely blown away but that is the power of God. What a gracious God we serve and the lessons he learned, it’s just awesome what God will bring us to and have us go through that may wreck our image before the world but move us ultimately closer to God and give us even more opportunity to Glorify God and share our testimonies. ❤️❤️

jj d You need to take to that God, the way your saying it shows how hard you are on Luke, you have no grace, you see the bad but you need to see how God sees Luke, were all humans and we make mistakes and I’m sure you do too but we all need chances and encouragement and your not encouraging..your shaming on him..check your heart and ask yourself why am I saying this..cause everything you saying comes with a lot of pride..Luke is growing and he’s maturing and he’s learning his mistakes just like everybody is on this earth..imagine somebody condemning you on your mistakes and never receive grace..how would you feel..

Hey Paul and Morgan, I enjoy your show very much and I am so glad you managed to interview Luke. There are always three sides to any story-his, hers and the truth. Sooo here's what stood out to me: I can believe that the producers chopped up scenes to paint a picture for the public. Hollywood (or rather, Hellywood) has always tried to squash the message of God and induce us into sin. Think of all the sex scenes we have become accustomed to or how the Lord's Name is always used as a cuss word. Hollywood seeks to dull our spiritual sensitivities and we, as Christians, need to guard and stand up against it. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and evil spirits. We, as Christians, NEED discernment and spiritual sensitivity. Watching the Bachelorette, I can see why Luke got painted as the villain because of the simple fact that his spirit clashes with that of Hollywood's. It's Hollywood's goal to keep as many people in the dark about Jesus. The other day I read a few statistics about how ignorant people are about Jesus and the Bible- 82% of Americans think "God helps those who help themselves" is a Bible verse, 12% think Joan of Arc was Noah's wife. 50% of graduating high school students think Sodom and Gomorrah were husband and wife... Sad. Sad. Sad. I am not an avid watcher of the Bachelor/Bachelorette because of the Fantasy suites. It comes as no surprise that the majority of relationships don't last after the Bachelor/Bachelorette because the contestants have already established soul ties with others. One cannot begin a marriage (and hope it will succeed) when there are soul ties with other people already in place. There are two scenes where I was really proud of Luke-1) confronting Hanna when she went bungee jumping naked with that other dude (because only your husband or wife should see you naked) and 2) when he actually said no to the fantasy suite. It takes a lot for a man to say no to sex. No human being is perfect, but in these two instances I could really see Luke's Godly morals at play. I take my hat off to you. Also, I am in no position to judge Luke or Hanna for their actions. I will not judge them either (calling them names etc) because that is God's job. Luke has his close friends and family to help hold him accountable (as the Bible says we need to look out for one another and to point it out, in the right way) Luke, I pray that God will raise you up to be a strong man of God. Your past does not define you. I pray that God uses you in ways that will help turn many, many people to Jesus. Time is short and precious. Lots of love for you guys. Be blessed and praying for you, Paul and Morgan. You two are good example of a good, Godly couple.

Here's the thing- Sean Lowe was a strong Christian guy on the bachelorette and bachelor and there was so much respect for him and his convictions. He led bible studies with all the guys (who weren't believers).... Sean's character was solid, he was kind, patient and such an example of Christ. Luke P isnt being shamed for being a Christian... he's shamed for being kind of a jerk (aka throwing cold cuts at someone)
@zorialanae
@zorialanae 4 жыл бұрын
I see your point, but we're also forgetting to realize Sean and Luke are two different plp that are in two different places in their faith journey. In my opinion the show wanted to paint Luke in a bad light from the very first episode bc he was a confident Christian. They made sure to catch his mistakes on camera to use it against him. ( not excusing those mistakes tho.) The producers decide what narrative they're gonna push with each season, it could've gone In many different directions with both Sean and luke.
@jonaeflure
@jonaeflure 4 жыл бұрын
@@zorialanae ridiculous! They did not want to paint Luke in a bad lite because he was a confident Christian. He did this on his own. Truth is Luke is not at all a confident Christian. I think instead of doing a video trying to explain his actions, he should be working more on his narcissistic traits and anger issues. The good Lord knows if he doesn't work on these issues his true walk as a Christian will never be fulfilled.

@@jjd1765 am sure Sean has made many more mistakes you dont know of. I wouldn't know someone based on what producers want me to see. @Beast bombshell hero As much as I have a feeling that you may have a point, there's just something in me that thinks that a villain being the Bachelor (or the Bachelorette) would be great TV. At the same time after the way Bachelor Nation treated him and bullied him and after seeing Hannah play him like a piano, you are right. He shouldn't have anything to do with Bachelor Nation. He should do what Chad did and be off to way bigger and better things.

So I’ve never commented on anything on KZfaq before but I feel so deeply compelled to take time out of my day to communicate my thoughts. First of all, thank you. I enjoy watching on and off, the Bachelor Shows and following some of the successful together couples that result from them. However since I’ve watched the show I knew there were certain things being withheld. I saw what Luke was portrayed as and really connected the situation to Krystal from Arie’s season. A woman who was easily edited to be a “villian” but was probably a great person in a challenging situation who showed the worst sides of her. I appreciate so much the show of faith and humility given from the spirit you Luke is now able to display in this conversation. I do also want to point out I think I can understand a small piece of Hannah’s perspective, I am a woman of God who desires so much to live from his words but I am human and I fall daily sometimes hourly even and it’s amazing when you meet someone you connect with on a spiritual level. So for Luke, I am sure you are dealing a lot of hate but I hope you do continue focusing on your journey and your faith and know your future wife is out here somewhere.

Always knew there was more to the story. Glad my instincts about Luke were right. If I was a Christian who believed that this attractive lead on a dating show was also a Christian and God had opened doors for me to go on said TV show, I would also assume the reason why would be for me to end up with that person. In situations like this - when you go somewhere and expect God to do something and He does something completely different instead - I like to say that I got the testing location right, but the testing material wrong. The events that will shape us the most drastically are the ones we won't see coming, the ones where we are knocked to the ground and don't know if we'll ever get back up; God is made strong in our weakness and only through fire can we be refined. Nothing He lets us endure goes to waste. Excited to see where the Lord takes you Luke!

Hopefully the Lord takes him to anger management class. Seeing the rage in Luke’s eyes when he screamed at Garrett, the way he body slammed Luke S unprovoked on the rugby field, threw deli meat on that dude’s lap (what in the actual f***?), and kept not accepting Hannah’s “no” were enough to show he has some personality issues to work through. If my boyfriend ever did any of that stuff I’d be gone so fast. Hannah was too young to recognize some of the red flag behaviors, especially since Luke is such a handsome and charming guy. Luke’s temper makes you wonder what he’s capable of when he gets thwarted. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Stop it. A Christian looking to date other Christian that believe the same things theologically would not go on a dating show where the lead is seriously dating 30 other ppl. Some people believe bc “Christians” ( who are not part of the main streamChristian churches ) are Trump supporters for the most part ... l agree that Luke was easy to mock bc of his pride and other bad habits, and that the Hollywood producers went after him big time BUT with that being said .. they could not voice over the horrid things that came out of his mouth ... Luke unfortunately played right into their hands to make Christians ( and they haven’t done themselves any favors with their comments on recaps) Trumps main base look so idiotic.

Aside from Luke P’s actions on the show, I had always felt like there was something missing between his dialogues with Hannah B that didn’t air. I am glad that Luke P gave his side of the story about the unaired faith convos he had with Hannah, which actually explains why he looked super confused and ambivalent during his one-on-one heated convos with Hannah towards the end of the show. The producers were the ones that distorted the raw narrative. Poor Luke’s reputation was completely tarnished. But interesting enough, Hannah didn’t find love or end up with any of the guys at the end.

So refreshing to see a guy self reflect and humble himself before the Lord. NO ONE is perfect and without sin; that’s why we need Christ. It’s beautiful to see him realize that. Sucks he had to go through this (he admitted by some of his own actions) to come to that realization, but everything works according to His purpose. I'm reading some of these comments. Quite a few have made claims that doubt Hannah's faith/religion/relationship with Christ, etc. It's funny some of you say that as if you know her heart better than she does. Be careful, you too will be judged.
@amyj4283
@amyj4283 4 жыл бұрын
ahumblediva tbh I don’t think what’s in your heart matters much of it stays in your heart. Your actions dictate what’s truly in your heart. “If you love me you will follow my commandments” this verse is a call to action. Faith without works is dead. I can have all the faith in the world and still be a horrendous person. This comes because I believe in God but not in what he preaches and commands. Naturally, because of sin, we struggle living to the standards God has set for us, but we should never brag about giving in to sin. Obviously we don’t know the whole of Hannah’s issues or life. We should pray for her instead of bashing her. We can and should however judge her actions as right or wrong and never HER as a person. And we have an obligation to correct her l with love and compassion (just like Jesus himself did). I agree with most you said but no, if Jesus only cared about what’s in our hearts then his sacrifice was pointless. He came to save us from sin, not to justify it with our “hearts”. In order to help people turn from sin, we have to know what it is which means we have to talk about it. I think we should “judge” her actions and we should do it in a way that emphasizes Christian love. Hannah’s actions also make young girls think that it’s okay because in her heart she loves God and therefore won’t be judged, even though we all should be very fearful of being judged by God. This world is infested with immorality and unfortunately God himself is used as an excuse for certain immoral behaviors. We do the world a disservice when we can’t stand up and criticize wrong actions especially those that are idolized. That is as Christian as judging people.
@amyj4283
@amyj4283 4 жыл бұрын
ahumblediva I’m not justifying anything luke said or did btw. I’m simply replying to you dismissing her actions because you seem to think as long as her heart believes she’s in great standing with God, she’s “saved”. God asks so much more of us than to just “believe”. We are called to live out our faith. That’s when our faith comes alive. When what we say and do don’t lead others to hell. Like I said, I am not judging her and no one should. We should pray for her soul. It’s hard because there are sooo many young girls who watch this show and sooo many young girls will be led astray because they idolize these “glamorous” women. So we can’t dismiss the reality by pointing to her heart or simplifying any and every criticism as “judgmental”. There are bad judgments (when ever we judge a PERSON and when we don’t judge principles or situations) and good judgements (when we judge principles and not the person).

@@ChronicallyTT I agree with both of you. THIS SHOW is the ultimate example of something in culture that's ruining the sanctity of marriage. I never watch it because the vying and parading around is not my cup of tea. It's a drama filled meat market. One of the things I find most striking is how the cast and fans get duped into believing this atmosphere is fit for a holy covenant and vow to hang on the results of this show's outcome (excluding those who do not believe marriage is holy or anything but a legally binding agreement). It's all so fake. Producers pull strings like puppet masters.They screen every personality type before they cast them. They find people they know will clash, and they know who's gonna be villain before they ever get in the house. It's all a set up. Sure, Brenda has opposing beliefs about christianity, but she loves. She loves fiercely. No matter who she encounters, or where she goes in the world, or culture she welcomes.... people know her by her love. That is what JESUS himself gave as the ultimate direction for us and a guideline in recognizing a fellow christian. They will know you're my people by the way you love one another. People recognized the pharisees by their rules. The PHARISEES even deemed Christ worthy of death because he didn't follow the guidelines the way they interpreted SCRIPTURE to be. They thought they were doing God a service. When you sacrifice the love. You're sacrificing LOVE incarnate.

Why is creating more lukewarm "Christians" considered a virtue? False teachers are warned in scripture that they will receive a harsher judgment. Just because they are accepting of the sins you are comfortable with, doesn't mean they subscribe to the "true teachings of Jesus". That's your inner idolatry forming a false god, not with your hands but with your mind- one who loves what YOU love and hates what YOU hate. Might as well just put away the pretense and worship yourself instead of pretending it's honoring the God of the Bible who made you.

Sort of Christian the true teachings of Jesus are in the Bible and god is grey does not support the Bible, she is a new age “Christian”. She believes in a false gospel and is leading many to hell. Jesus warned us there will be many false teachers teaching what people want to hear rather than confront sin and warn of judgement. Jesus never said to not judge, he said to judge righteous judgement and not be hypocritical.

So, if someone followed you around with a video camera and only recorded the bad things that you did every day which may amount to 10 to 15 minutes worth of bad, but they don't record any of the good that you do, does that negate the good that you did? Do you not understand how editing works? They leave out the good on purpose. They painted him a certain way on purpose. You really think that 10 to 15 minutes of footage a day is an adequate judge of who a person is? If you were recorded for only 15 minutes a day at your worst times or when you were struggling, how do you think people would perceive you? Many of you are offering absolutely no Grace or Mercy to Luke. Just remember you're judged with the same measure that you judge. Do you really want God to judge you based on only the bad things that you do and ignore all of the good things in a day that you do? Because that is exactly what you did with Luke. I mean, did you even watch him admit he made mistakes?

That being said he did take responsibility for things he said and how he acted. Peace and grace to you my friend, always be sparing in judgement and gracious in mercy. I'm really impressed with Luke's humility!!! Like really impressed. I'm gonna come back and finish watching a little later but I'm loving what I've seen so far! It takes LOADS of humility to admit your faults and sins when you're confronted with them especially when they "happened" on public, national television. I think too something people don't understand or often forget is that the Christian life is a life of fighting against sin. We are not going to achieve perfection in this life. The main thing is are we fighting? Are we going to the Most High in repentance when we've sinned? Not sugar-coating or excusing it but laying it before Him in all of its raw ugliness. It sounds like Luke is learning from his mistakes and sins and growing. It also encouraged me to hear how his brother grew in his own relationship with Christ through all of this. It's amazing. The Most High really does work ALL things out for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Also, I think it's SUPER telling the way he speaks about Hannah. He never once calls her names or demeans her in this video and he still treats her with respect. Paul and Morgan, thank you for bringing Luke on your show! I've been following you guys for a while now and I appreciate that you put out content that you feel led to, even if much of the world comes against you. Luke, I have absolutely no idea if you will ever read this, but I felt led to tell you something (before I finish watching this). I could write an entire book plus more on where I started, where I went wrong, and where God has brought me now. We ALL fall short of the glory of God but never forget what He did for you. He died for everyone, but also just us individually. It's amazing! I think your heart was in the right place going into this, but you just got a little lost along the way. I think God allowed you to go through this so that you could learn and grow into the man He has called you to be even more so! It's a great representation to everyone watching that we as Christians aren't perfect either, but that's when we have to humble ourselves, submit to the Lord, and start new again! I applaud you for sticking to the Truth because it's hard to do in a world like this and not face extreme ridicule. Also, don't ever forget your identity in Christ! I know you've been called so many horrible names, but God will use this for your good and His glory! He knew you before the earth was formed, put you together in the womb, and now He has called you out to proclaim His Word! You are not who the world says you are, but who He says you are! Way to represent (from a fellow Georgian). To anyone else reading this, please use discernment in everything you do. Go to the Lord in prayer about anything and everything to get the input that has the absolute best in mind for you. Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my favorite verses!

God will send a woman your way at the right time. The bachelorette was most definately not the way to go. Many will call themselves Christian's but not all actually are. Hannah was definately not christian from what I've seen of her fruit.

This video definitely put things into better perspective. I’m glad Luke has seen where he was prideful and toxic. My only question would be why he set up Twitter the night of his big fight with Hannah to respond to her? I know we are all learning and he wanted to share his truth, but the way he did it showed that he hadn’t really changed since the show. Now, he looks and sounds a lot better; he has more clarity and is more secure in his faith. I’ll be praying that he stays on this path.

What happened to Christianity being a model for caring for each other and respecting each other and loving each other for our faults? Luke repeatedly showed no respect at all for Hannah, manipulating the situation and claiming it was in the name of God. It is not Christian at all to be controlling and manipulative. Women of Christ need to stand up against this controlling behavior and reclaim their identity. God gave you a voice and a free will. Use it and be strong!

I cant even see where he was controlling!! She said from the beginning she wanted a guy that's BOLD didnt she? So when he WAS bold and pushed his way forward to win her heart, now he's called controlling and manipulative? In regrds to his behaviour towards the other men: he just had to defend himself all the time, no wonder he stumbled over his words and behaviour

It’s really interesting how indoctrination works. You guys are so quick to love and forgive and accept anyone who believes and think like you. However, when it comes to people that don’t think like you, even people that worship the same God you do, y’all are the first to shame and drag them with your whole ‘holier than thou’ attitude. Any thoughts on this double standard?

Karen Raymond You're basically accusing Christians of being big hypocrites and looking down on other people and that's not how the Bible teaches us to be. Please do not generalize just because other people don't do what they're supposed to do. We have every right to call out our peers (according to the word of God) and expect them to take accountability for their actions, and Luke is no different just because he's a believer. it's not our place to put people in heaven or hell that's for God to judge. But I'm assuming that your original comment is accusing Christains as a whole of partaking in a double standard, and that's not fair, is it? Not everyone is the same.

For anyone saying that the show gave Luke a bad edit: Luke provided the material. He didn’t have to give them any bad behavior to work with in the first place. And 1) it seems like no one else on that season acted as outrageously and violently as Luke did*, otherwise the editors would have featured it to maximize the dramatic content; 2) there was no reason for the producers to discriminate against Luke for his faith as opposed to someone else who hypothetically exhibited similar behavior, because many of the people on the Bachelor(ette) are openly Christian. We know this because religion is important to many of the leads, so they cast contestants with compatible beliefs; moreover, the Bachelor casts subsequent seasons with previous cast members. This has led to multiple seasons full of self-proclaimed Christians (e.g. the seasons of Emily M., Sean, Ben H., Colton, Hannah) Glad he’s striving to be humble though. And I know it’s been over a year *no one should be that violent, ever. And especially on a fluffy dating show. What the heck

I was going through a 52 week sermon talk about the chapter of Luke on youtube and interestingly enough there was a video about the 'Battle of Luke's Rugby - Bachelorette' on the recommended and I decided to click it. From the get go, I thought he was a narcissistic self seeking individual willing to trample others to get what he wants. As i went in deeper on the other clips, turns He's just like everyone of us, human, flawed and naive to a certain extent. Although he was not liked by many but i thought he was the most sincere and authentic in his character and I actually sympathized with him at the end. We all make mistakes and make a fool of ourselves sometimes, which only makes us human and shows how much we need God in our life. God bless you Luke, I know you have grown stronger in faith and strength after this episode in your life.

1Sam. 16:7 ...man looks at the outward appearance of man, but the Lord looks at the heart. When Samuel would have picked someone else to be King, God picked David. Anyone who knows David’s story, knows that he made mistakes. The difference between him and Saul for example, was that David was humble, acknowledged his mistakes, and repented. Sometimes the hardest part is owning up to our mistakes! Learning as you look back but overcoming as you move forward! Loved this video guys! ❤️
