I used to care about graphics when I was younger but as an adult I've realized being shallow about how a game looks really makes you miss out on some great games. Especially going back and playing older games that may not have aged super well.

That's just one layer of this games shit sandwich so it just makes it all more unacceptable. We love Fromsoftware and they don't focus on graphics, so you can't just say everyone disliking this game is just thinking about graphics

As someone who bought day one and am having a lot of fun for it, I think that’s fair. I love team ninja and don’t mind giving them my $$, but this is absolutely a game that will be on sale this summer, maybe even PlayStation plus (remember, wo long was day 1 game pass)

I've been thinking this for YEARS. Even when games were blanket $59.99 it was ridiculous. Not all games are equal and it's really sad that they are treated that way. Luckily, most games are discounted 15-25% after the first few months and 40-50% within half a year to a year. I rarely buy games full price anymore. I'm tired of games needing years of patches before they are at the quality they should have been when they were released. That's if they are even patched at all. I'm over that shit, and over FOMO in general. Been gaming too long to have such low standards.

Right. Games like cyberpunk or the witcher have seemingly endless content. For the same price suicide squad was over in about 10 hrs with little to do after. The difference is insane

The faults it has is not enough to argue that it should have been a 40 dollar game. The game, whether you like it or not, offers enough to be sold at 70. This goes back to my main point in my previous comments that I believe gamers have become too critical without realizing. They praise older games for whatever reasons, but don't realize those games were sold at 60 and almost on average were unfinished, glitchy, and had a lot of faults you don't typically see in modern games. Yet, we have those same gamers whining about pop-in or low resolution graphics as if it's something we've never seen before. It's ridiculous.

How exactly Sony claimed we're halfway is beyond my understanding. The console launched in late 2020, and most people could actually get their hands on it by 2022. Only 3 years have passed and the life cycle of a console is supposed to be 7 years, so there's still 1 and a half year remaining for the PS5 to reach halfway there. It makes me sad that sony will abandon this beautiful piece of tech one day. But it's life and it must go on...

Except the bed is flush against the wall meaning if its tilting the other way your sliding feet first towards that wall and not head first. It's really neither since a lot of ships go side against the wall, one to make it easier not to roll out of bed dealing with ship movement and two, like you said if the ship tilts you're sliding side first which is considerably safer than sliding head or feet first. @@Baell1

First off, idk why anyone at Team Ninja thought people would enjoy running place to place just to pet cats, set up bonfire flags, and pray at shrines. Shit is a boring chore.. Second of all, story line is complete cringe and wack. At least Woo Long followed a better storyline. And graphics looked great too.. Third of all, they show their laziness in creating this game by have you chase down markers on the map as “Locations you should visit”… I just go to the locations just to get the notification then immediately leave the area once it says I’ve visited the location. Also, there is nothing to actually interact with in the world. You just run around the world on a horse spamming one button to collect stuff for crafting etc. If you try to even slice or kill the animal’s in the world.. They just get scared and disappear. And to actually get their loot as if you killed them, all you have to do is run along side the animals and press your collect button to pick up their loot and they just vanish. Cmon man… like It’s definitely not the worst game ever.. But if you’re telling me $70-$85 is worth the price. I’d say hell fucking nah. I pre ordered the game and I hope it gets better.. Because so far I’m not impressed…

I’m starting to get the opposite opinion of him. A lot of his videos are him just saying the same thing over and over again to inflate the run time. He also seems to think some things are way more important than they are. Take graphics for example. A lot of older games are still incredibly fun to play and look like shit. Sly cooper games, Mario 64, most ps2 metal gears. It all about the gameplay and how immersive the world is. It doesn’t need to be photo realistic. At the same time if you’re honesty expecting a box of already outdated hardware to continue pushing the graphical limits of games you’re going to be disappointed every single time.

Part of the problem with the low visual fidelity is that they started so long ago and were also adapting their engine to an entirely new style of game. That said I do have higher expectations for their next current gen exclusive game.

Every time some creates better software to make the lives of the developers easier. Video gaming gets actually worse. Thats not a feeling, it happens every time! Remember what FRS/DLSS was suppose to do? It was so more people could buy modern games, even with older hardware. Instead every new game on console is now running 720p upscaled barely holding 30FPS. And the visuals have gone down considerably while running like dogarse! Not to mention the massive amount of Screen Ghosting these FSR upscaler generate! Now even less people with older hardware can play modern games! Going digital will help save cost, because no physical copies and handbooks are printed anymore. Games now cost 80 bucks, the bare bones missing content Edition! This is not an inflation issue, because it started over 10 years ago already!

Spiderman 2 runs at solid 4k120 not native but still looks great unlike Ronin which looks absolute dogpiss, Alan wake 2, cyberpunk , lies of p, all of them run better on console in my opinion cause I have a rtx 3070ti pc and the games stutter sometimes on that but console still provides better performance according to the price.
