Believe it or not, this is the quick version of Gishki ftk. Back in the day, they would loop hand destruction and deck you out *one card at a time*. And half the time you had to play it out because SOMETIMES you could hand trap them.

I have never been more glad to have dodged the royal Cyberse Clock Dragon fro the anniversary un-dismantle-able packs, because if I had gotten it I wouldn't have been able to resist making stupid ftk decks for the rest of my life like in that first duel.

honestly that last match is the best way to punish an attempted meta player, just make a deck that completely takes theirs. Similar to how people started to include neko mane kings when tearlaments came out since it could hard counter them and things like this are abusable in best of ones.

We do leave learning something here. The Purrely field spell can attached a quick play spell to Purrely XYZ on the field. That I did not know.

Card destruction work with 0 in hand bc it says "discard as many as possible". 0 discard is still possible and it also doesnt have the "and if you do" clause. What modern card printed has a "possible" clause? Most rilings these days sort of default implicitly to "resolve as much as possible"
