That ZZ144418 duel felt like a goddamn anime ending-tier moment where all of the other characters (Zefra, Yang Zing, Therion, Generaider, every single Plant archetype known to man, the guy who summons himself from the deck for some reason) combine their forces to power up the protagonist in their final battle. after Floo established the board Price decided to activate Nib effect on his own turn by chaining with Riseheart and summon token in ATK position he then summon Big Eye to take control of token (which is really big) and finish Floo opponent off

Typically, it was done primarily as a deck-thinning strategy. In this case though, he needs them in the GY so he can recycle them with reborn effects and add them to hand for later.

The combo needed two lonefire blossoms to be summoned by Beyond the Pendulum, which was added to the hand by using Rikka Queen Strenna and Akashic Magician, which returned to hand the Lonefire Blossom that was summoned by Kanzashi the Rikka Queen. Whatever Kanzashi summons has its effects negated, hence why Akashic Magician was used to bounce them.

Empen isn't Skill Drain at all, Empen prevents the opponent from activating their monster effects, Skill Drain doesn't do that.
