Күн бұрынThe Lume Cube 2.0 is an excellent upgrade from the original. After using it for months in extremely demanding conditions I fine it to be the most versatile and durable on camera LED video light on the market for under $100.00. While it might not be exactly cheap it is well worth it in every way. This little LED light functions well as an on camera light, a studio light, a portable light, light painting light and a fantastic flashlight. It is well diffused and has a great battery life. Being so small and compact it can easily go in a camera bag without taking up space and for a tiny light it has a powerful output! I can safely say the Lume Cube 2.0 is the most versatile, rugged, durable and powerful small portable LED on camera light available right now.

It makes all the difference having such a magnificent backdrop in which to test gear and equipment. Lumecubes are a great addition to any camera bag.

That is the best testimonial for the Lume Cube on the internet yet - and it still doesn't do these beautiful lights justice. I happen to be the ecstatic owner of the deluxe 2 light Lume Cube 2.0 Kit, and I can't praise them and the company enough. The rare example of a PERFECT product.

Can you shoot portraits and head shots? Does it distributes the light in close ups?

@@jujagthemag Yes, you can shoot portraits and head shots with the Lume Cube 2.0, but they are more for odd location night shoots. For more conventional beauty portraits, you may want to use bigger lights. For close-ups, the Lume Cube 2.0 has many different types of filters which can distribute light with a beautiful soft glow!

It was difficult to find good quality "real world" reviews of this Light. With this video I finally found it. NONE of the other videos I watched gave me a fair representation of what the LUME cube could do. I just purchased the LUME panel pro and I hope it's as good or better than the Cube. Thank you Jake.

Boy Jake for a second there I got scared when it was blacked out in the cave. You do so much wonderful things with the Lume cubes thanks for sharing i would love to see you do a live stream on how to do the light painting sometime soon you may of already do one i will look. @@JakeSloan Do you notice the light throwing a greenish hue? On the video there are definite impurities in the light it looks very greenish/blue but I can't make out if its just from the video or if its coming from the cube itself.

You're welcome Levi! They are fantastic for the price if you need really durable lighting. If you a light for more just on camera then I would look at the lume cube panel. It's excellent but more just for on camera stuff. Cheers!

Thanks for your review! Until now, I was thinking of one...now looking at a pair. I mainly photograph wildlife and natural-lit landscapes...using a cube will be great for painting astro landscapes...as well as useful for macro work. They owe you a commission!!!

Suction cups don't always work. Why not just put a slit in the bottom of the light case so it can sit on top of a laptop screen like an external web camera? I haven't been able to find such a product. It seems like there would be a huge demand for it. Thoughts?

You could also do some industrial hook and loop (velcro) type stuff with a small grip arm to make a way to attach it. You're right though. A small 1/4 20 stand with a soft rubber lined trough or slit that would work on most laptop screens would be great!

Either one would work. The panel mini is nice if using indoors since you can match color temps with the ambient lighting inside.

Both of those photos are taken using long exposure photography and a lume cube attached to a drone. As the drone moves it creates those lines. Cheers!

i had one of these a while back and it was great but then just stopped working , so back to amazon it went . but when it worked it was amazing , not sure if id trust another of cos of the price but I do no not ever things works all the time there are some units of every product that have issues and some don't .,. them ice caves tho wow

Interesting mine have been rock solid for the last 6 months. My original lume cube is still going strong as well after years of use. Maybe you got a bad one? I’m glad you were able to return it.

Just point it at a wall in a dark room from say 3 feet so we can see what it does, and try to light a subject like a hummingbird which need 1/3000 SS.

How does this compare to the LumeCube Panel mini

It's brighter and more focused but only 5600k color temp. You have to use gels to change the color temps and of course it is water proof.

They have a 1/4” 20 so they can mount on anything with that very common camera connectors

I haven’t tried them directly. The original lume cube did not have great color balance. The 2.0 is much much better.
