Thank you for the review, just bought the nocturnals I love them.

What do you do if you shave light up knocks that do not have a pressure switch in the but are operated on inertia to turn them on how well do they work for hunting? This is the first time using lighted knocks. Can you help me?

Have you tried nocturnal a strobes. I have and the only 2 things I don't like about them is I couldn't get them to stay in the bushing and they don't fit micro diameter arrows

Hi Patrick, I've been using the Nocturnal since 2012. Had a few that didn't light coccertly, and a couple have split, otherwise I like them. I even bought the tool to turn them off. I think it was about 7 bucks on e-bay. Nice vid P.S. The bees in the ground were most likely yellow jackets. If you can locate the next wait until night time and douse them with some kind of wasp and hornet killer. Most have returned to the nest by dark, so you're sure to kill the most. You can also burn them out with charcoal lighter( DON"T USE GAS it explodes, not gonna say how I know that).

I wish I saw this a week ago. I bought some lumenoks because so many people recommend them. They’re horrible. They turn one once you place them in the arrow. So difficult to shut off. I bought the size recommend for my tko rip. Had such a hard time getting it in. Broke one of the nocks just by forcing it in.

The lumenok can be reused over and over. The nockturnal is a throw away after the battery is dead. I'll pay $3 more to be able to keep using the lumenok

I’ve had the Nockturnals. They failed over and over. The battery comes flying out inside the arrow. Also the Nockturnals nock actually broke after about 6 shots. Pay the extra money.

Good comparison, especially if you are hunting bees. Haha. I initially was thinking the Lumenok would be a better buy because the battery lasts twice as long and is replaceable. But, the ease of installation and the brightness of the Nockturnal probably outweigh the battery life of the Lumenok. Do you have any experience with the Nockturnal Helios?

So you have to turn it on before shooting at deer

You can use the Lumenok with arrows that have bushings on them all you have to do is get a peice of Emery cloth and rub the coating off that is on the bushing! The metal bushing that is on the arrow is conductive metal the coating on it is not. You do not twist the Lumenok to deactivate it you simply take your index finger and thumb pinch the nock wiggle a little and push at the same time very simple. Another way to turn of the Lumenok is a very great tool call the exstinguisher that is also used as an arrow puller that can be clipped on to one of your arrows in your quiver. Also the lumenok had 40 pluse hours of battery life and also can replace the battery at very affordable price. Yes the lumenok is a few bucks more but you don't have to buy a whole new nock you simply buy replacement batteries they come in a two pack so you can shoot shoot shoot and keep shooting instead of conserving on shots because you don't wanna buy a whole new knock. #Lightemup

Never every twist a #LUMENOK to turn it off. You will damage it.

I'll take the lumenok everytime. I can't stand the little bushing adapters. I like the snug fit like a factory nock.

Don't use a knife to activate the light. Just shoot the arrow and the light lights up. The bow string activates it.

NG.....Nockturnal Is Not Brighter In The Color Orange....Green Is Not A Bright Color In The Woods In The Leaves....I Swear By Lumenok HD Orange....

Lumenoks are heavy bricks. Nochturnals weigh the same weight as my pin nocks. Lumenoks are 11 grains more. If you want a lighter one, go with Nockturnal. Also the Lumenoks battery came out of the head on the first try with one, junk. The Lumenoks also have very weak plastic. The tip bend easily. Nockturals are a whole lot easier to turn off too, .

Also for anyone who nock tunes their arrows, lumenoks suck. In my opinion.

After 2 or 3 times turning the Nocturnal off you'll wish you had bought the Lumenocks.

I've had 4 nockturnals break 1st shot out of my bow. and many more break soon after. =( it is a shame because they are so fricken bright.
