Hello friends, some people leave such a special impression in your life that it cannot be forgotten for a long time. Kaveri or Kuhu as she is popularly known is one such person. I met her on the sets of our tv show 'Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke' and we instantly struck a chord. She played my grand daughter in the show but off camera we were like food buddies. Sharing food and talking about food was our favourite pass time. She like me just cannot resist good food and would really eat with such happiness that the other person would feel like eating too. And now she has fulfilled her ambition of opening a restaurant and it is called Konkan Chilly. Now as the name suggests they specialise in Konkani food mainly from the Malvan region of Maharashtra, but they have other cuisines as well like Chinese, tandoori and Punjabi.
We had their special Malvani thalis and they were really delicious. The pomfret thali and the kombdi vade thali were really good and they were bursting of Malvani flavours. The fried Bombay Duck or Bombil was equally good. And Kuhu as the host was as bubbly and sweet as she is as a person. So friends do visit this restaurant and encourage such youngsters who are trying to create a niche for themselves in this competitive world.
