This is Jean-Baptiste. He is from France and has been living in India for 21 years. He shared with me why Indians are much more family-oriented than the French, whether there really is a lot of hidden cash in India, and how to ride a motorcycle like a pro through India's extreme traffic. Enjoy!

It's just a shame that Indians treat their country so badly, littering everywhere, spitting everywhere, peeing in public, and the pollution levels in Indian towns and cities is appalling! That's the reality. The driving is atrocious, some of the worst in the world with no consideration for pedestrians, and consequently India has the highest rates of road fatalities in the world, roughly 180k-200k per year! And then we get to water stress and power cuts! India is now in the top three nations globally for water stress, and there are regular power cuts even in 'smart' cities like Pune! And then we get to the increasing summer temperatures, now regularly reaching 50 Celsius in Delhi and Rajasthan! You paint an overly rosy and slightly naive picture of today's India!

As a French national married to Indian man n living in India I agree with almost everything he said but from my point of view all is not as positive as he said . Indian society is also going through fights sometimes for many different reasons … It is really not easy to understand the codes and how it works inside family , society, companies ….Sometimes I have the feeling that everything is opposite from where I m coming from … As a western I obviously respect all and everyone but sometimes I am feeling little lost like not understanding how it works here . Enjoyed hearing how grounded this French guy is. I have watched several videos of the interviewer Max Chernov and he is mostly uncomfortable when people are praising India. Would be interesting to hear Max's perspective and let him vent. It is hard to want Indian subscribers but not be able to outgrow some disdain for India (which is fine). Just that from my perspective it comes through at times.

Agreed, this French person was very astute in his observations - keep indoors clean and throw garbage outside, traffic mentality, extremes - rich and poor, etc. He praised India for the good qualities and pointed out the shortcomings politely.

Yeah we learnt the lesson very hard way right. Like we lost parts even before partition happened. Nepal, Sri Lanka , Myanmar were all interlinked with Bharath and became separate during the process of becoming India. Now I don't want to erase any border or anything but just want peaceful interactions as always.

Was quite interesting and informative too to know as to what foreigners living or making a living in India think of this country, it's people and its rich culture. Thanks for sharing the videos. Pls share some more videos of foreigners staying in India. I don't know if you visited pondicherry, Bangalore or Ahmedabad or Goa . Now you have the south koreans and Japanese too who are working in India, primarily may be in the automobile sector.

Not that difficult. That size of land in Bandra will cost you around 70 Million $. The construction cost would be another 5 million $. So you should be able to build such a house in Bandra for around 75 Million $. Assuming you have political connections for getting all the municipal and city clearances etc.

Yes I Agree, I've been talking to Michelle Laurine Kenner for long now, mostly because I lack the knowledge and energy to deal with these ongoing market circumstances. there are more aspects of the market than the average individual is aware of. Having an investing counselor is now the best line of action, especially for those who are close to retiring.
