I just wanted to confirm everything you stated about this boat. After a few outings with my 1875, I am thoroughly impressed with the rough water ride, and can also confirm that you will get a little wet when taking oncoming waves at an ~45 degree angle. It’s hard to believe this boat is aluminum.

I have been looking at getting an 1875. Have also been following Chris Hockey. From what you said, I assume you moved your trolling motor batteries to the back to free up more rod locker space. If you do another video include some shots of interior compartment set ups.

I just received my 1875 yesterday, it's awesome! Are you using anything for motor support while trailering? Also, we had some issues backing it in. The ground clearance from the rear light bracket is just under 8". The transom saver that came with the boat also had the skeg sitting pretty low, a little above 7".

Thanks for sharing this. I just bought an 1875 and I'm looking at trolling motor setup. Do you think a 52" shaft would be too short? Also, if the trolling motor has a spot lock feature, could the power poles be ditched, or is it beneficial to have both? Thanks again.
@smallmouthfreaks7609
@smallmouthfreaks7609 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment👍. A 52" shaft will be ok, just if you're fishing big water the prop will come out of the water as you bounce around. I like having both spot lock and poles. They both serve a different purpose in my opinion. There's also times when you're fishing shallow and want to be stealthy that spot lock is not the best option.

@@zosoo7 same company. The bow mount came with a flat plate that replaces the stock plate and a raised mount that will accept the Helix bracket.
