I finally finished the animal room just a few weeks ago. However, I still haven't moved all of the animals into the new space. One of the tanks I had to address was the Blackwater IKEA Riparium. I didn't have proper lighting on that setup since moving it and as a result most of the marginal plant growth didn't flourish. I also felt that I could do something better, so I decided to redo the setup completely. Enjoy!

I'm really excited about this one! So cool to finally be able to do a proper setup that's up and running immediately in the new room. I also think it makes a bigger impact than the original design. What do you think? Let me know and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

Another awesome build! On a different note, I'd love to see your take on a vernal pool biotope tank that would functionally go through a drying out period followed by a reflooding. It could house triops or fairy shrimp and orher diapause-capable micro fauna. The flora might be a bit more tricky, but I bet you'd nail it. 🙂

I very much love paludarium or riparium set ups and can't wait until I have the space do one myself. I think it would be awesome if you did a video on the different plants you often use in setups along with a little information on the things you've learned about them and the setups they do well in. It would be a great educational resource for others wanting to design beautiful habitats for critters, etc.
