I love the 50cm³. The highest specific power output and surely very difficult to ride. Very sad that this class was stopped so long ago in GP-Racing.

They are certainly more difficult and demanding to ride than a bigger capacity bike or a fourstroke. One slight mistake and you could loose 10 positions on the track.

Wow, da kommen Erinnerungen hoch. Ich finde es genial das solche rennen es noch gibt. Würde selbst als fahrer gerne antreten. Die Reifen sollten doch mehr kurvengeschwindigkeit erlauben? Mindestens so viel das dabei die Gabeln hopping bekommt. Ein traum, wie in den 80er

Yea I had one too 1986 ar 50, then 80cc engine , then kx 125 engine, was the fastest in my school 5 years running , miss those days

As I sit watching the start, it evokes memories of my past sitting track side in long grass. Listening to various choruses of machines warming up in the pits to the guys waiting for the green light on the start line. The smell as well, trampled grass, warm sun and the smell of two stroke in the air the occasional smell of a burger van tempting us in. I miss watching these manic machines and brave riders having fun.

I had a 1977 Blue AP50 with straight bars and expansion chamber jetted big carb I loved it and went on to an X7 with much of the same thing then Suzuki brought out the RG Gamma and everything changed overnight, good times and so many great memories and friends 👍💯🔥👌

In the 60s and early 70s the little 50cc of the day had 14-16 gears and many could rev on to 18000rpm there was twins and even a triple 50cc but things change and the Japanese were back on a more level playing field and East and West Germany and lots of European countries joined in and it got lively again for a while then more rules and regs and it slowly but surely killed it off which is so sad for such an entertaining class...

would wonder how my own 50cc stuntbike would compare, it's a derbi senda Xtreme with a 50cc doppler kit. Makes 15.1hp on the dyno. I heard these things make like 20hp.

@@jerongerrits9914 Hij is hartstikke Nederlands en heet Klaas. Zijn zoon en dochter racen ook in de 50cc klasse. Zoek eens op de HMV en CRT. Beiden organiseren dit soort Demo's.races. Kijk ook eens op de flickr pagina van Theo en Annemarie (zoek op Google). Zij fotograferen dit soort evenementen al meer dan 12 jaar. Ook op dit evenement waren zij erbij, al staan er maar een paar foto's van op. Alle foto's zijn te downloaden.

@@alfiesolomons1179 Dit soort races worden nog regelmatig gehouden. Meestal op stratencircuits, binnenkort weer op een paar locaties. Kijk bijvoorbeeld eens bij de HMV, CRT, RMM of BOT en SAM...of MCRT......kijk op hun facebook groepen of pagina's. Op de websites staan de agenda's en komende evenementen/.De meeste racers zijn nagebouwde exemplaren en soms origineel. Alles is ook wel te koop, maar niet altijd goedkoop, maar dat kan wel......er mee racen kost bij bv de HMV slechts 55 euro per jaar en dan nog een klein bedrag per wedstrijd. Dan heb je een startlicentie en een verzekering. Datzelfde geldt voor het CRT.....Bij de genoemde clubs, behalve bij het MCRT zijn het demo wedstrijden en gaat het om de regelmatigheid en minder om de snelheid.......Kijk eens op mijn facebooekgroep "Vrienden van de Historische Motorsport Vereniging" Daar kun je alles vragen wat je wilt weten....Groet.

He has a thing called driving skills, it makes you remember what gear you are in by driving an sequential gearbox for some time, of course if our an automatic guy I can see how this seems incredible to you, but trust me, it`s not magic, you just need to focus on what your dooing. And you need to learn to count in the first place, it only has 6 gears...

50cc 2 stroke in here is extinct, buddy. I always looking for kreidler, tomos,sachs,zundapp and etc on ebay or other online store. I like the european 50cc classic racer, its so exotic but rare haha 🤣
