Embark on a journey with us as we celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in the heart of India's wilderness at Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh. 🌿💕 From the flavours of Raipur's iconic tari poha to the tranquil banks of the Banjaar River, this trip was a tapestry of cultural delights and natural wonders. ✈️🍲
Our adventure commenced with a flight to Raipur, leading to a scenic 4-hour drive to the majestic Kanha National Park.
Nestled on the riverbank, Banjaar Tola, A Taj Safari, spans 90 acres of breathtaking landscape opposite Kanha National Park. Home to 18 luxurious tents, the property exudes an eco-friendly ethos, showcasing exquisite Gond art and offering a sustainable stay without compromising on elegance. 🏕️🎨
Our 'Wow' moment unfolded as we stepped into our room, greeted by panoramic views of the Banjaar River, which carries the legacy of the local tribe. The tent's design, featuring a deck, a lavish bedroom, and a chic bathroom, harmonizes with the forest ambience, ensuring every element resonates with nature's symphony. 🛏️🌳
Kanha's forest captivates with unique hues at sunrise and sunset, inspiring awe and serenity. Amidst the anticipation of tiger sightings, we uncovered the forest's subtle joys. 🌅🐅
Our anniversary brought a delightful surprise from the resort's attentive butlers and the assurance of safety by an armed guard, ensuring our celebration was exclusive and uninterrupted. 🎉🔦
The next morning's safari gifted us a glimpse into the swamp deer's pre-courtship display, a testament to Kanha's successful conservation initiatives, which have saved these creatures from extinction. And the pinnacle? A majestic tigress graced us with her presence, an encounter that was both thrilling and humbling. 🦌🐾
While most of Banjaar Tola is not accessible for guests with mobility challenges, the beauty and spirit of the place remain inviting to all. 🚧♿
