I don't see it as "it looks horrible". Certainly it looks good, but maybe it's not up to par to the standard that the judges expect.

they were very understanding of Barrie. Once they saw that he only cooked one way they gave up on kicking him three times for 3 under-cooked dishes. Imagine if he had under-cooked three completely separate cuts. They would have torn him a new one.

For people complaining about Thea being in the finals there was no way Barrie would be in first off the challenge was to make three different types of beef dishes he only made one then unlike Trevor and Thea who both properly cooked their meat he undercooked his which pretty much sealed his fate

You're only as good as your last dish. He massively undercooked his beef on a challenge which was all about cooking a protein. He also cooked it one way when he was asked to present beef three ways. He was obviously the worst of three.

how can the beef be so tender but still raw? the one that barry cooked, I dont understand that. I'm not a chef, so hence the question.

Not a chef either, but my guess is that there was a small bit of rendering done. They said it was "borderline raw" not completely raw. Which means that the meat managed to be cooked a tiny bit. It's also Wagyu beef, which unless I'm mistaken is one of the most tender meats in the world. It's likely that the Wagyu didn't need much in the way of cooking, but still more than what barry did. So he managed to get JUST enough rending done to be considered tender, but not enough to be considered cooked. Hope that makes sense!

So we're saying that beef, porc and chicken are luxury protein? Really. What's a non luxury protein then? I can accept beef, especially if it's wagyu but porc and chicken, those are the most basic of protein and they usually don't cost that much either.

LMAO Nah but really if you watch any of Gordon's shows he would bait people into tasting a burger their own staff made for them to eat but they didn't know that and they said it's delicious because they know Gordon made it but really it's their own staff who they dislike.
