Rarotonga accommodation options - there’s resorts, holiday homes and hotels all over, but our favourite accommodation in the Cook Islands is this luxury villa on Muri Beach: geni.us/tevakaroa ⬇ More Below ⬇
Welcome back to the Cook Islands and our 5th episode of 7 in this series of travel vlogs. We’ve tackled Aitutaki for the most part so far, so it’s time for Rarotonga and hunting out some luxury accommodation RIGHT on Muri Beach, the award-winning Te Vakaroa villas. geni.us/tevakaroa
As we mentioned above, the cool thing about Rarotonga is how the accommodation mix has changed in recent years. There’s now some great holiday homes (some with pools even), cheaper back packing options, villas like this one and less expensive, and full blown family resort styles too. There’s an option for everyone. But if you’re wanting luxury, beach front living and proximity to walk and explore check out Te Vakaroa Villas. We actually spotted these villas last time we were in Rarotonga and made a note to check them out next time, safe to say it was worth looking into!
We were hosted by Cook Islands Tourism to assist in making this travel series in Aitutaki and Rarotonga, but as always we have full editorial control over what we film, what we say, and how we share the experience with you in these vlogs. There’s loads of incredible info about the Cook Islands here for your own holiday - cookislands.travel/

When you guys went to black rock, I was hoping to see my brother's spot "ernz spot". He passed away in 2014 but we went back and immortalized his spot, so to speak, even had the land owner approve of it . It has been a while since I've been there so I don't know if its still there but it's cool you guys checked out black rock. Our family home isn't far from there.. again, need to go back...haha thank you for showing everyone how beautiful home can be.

We remember our confusion from the gate attendants as we were flying from the North Island to the South Island when were were told if we boarded an earlier flight that we might not be able to have a male ? it turns out the NA pronounciation of meal, i.e. something you eat sounds like MALE to American ears. As it turns out, we did get a rather nice meal on that flight. Later we were entertained with music of American Western R & B at a restaurant in the mountains of the South Island. Blue Grass from the U.S.A. sounds different to our ears than the NZ performers with heartfelt singing in their accents. We still enjoyed our dinner and entertainment that night. Love your adventures, always cool no matter what the colloquialisms of the languages love you guys, Loni & Al ❤❗

In all honesty, prices in New Zealand are outrageous at the moment so when you consider things have to be imported to the island, it's no surprise it might seem pricey to foreigners.
