Vail’s 60th Anniversary Ski Season is off to a great start! The ski mountain opened on Friday, November 11th with 75 acres of open terrain for skiers and snowboarders.
Lots of special events are planned this season to celebrate the anniversary!
* Food Network Celebrity Chef Tyler Florence will be joining us this December during the winter takeover of Flame Restaurant at Vail’s Four Seasons Resort.
* Ice bars are coming back at Eagle’s Nest and Wildwood as a tribute to Bill Whiteford’s infamous ice bar, constructed during Vail Mountain’s 1963-64 season.
* Mother Nature is also celebrating with lots of new snow arriving early this year across the mountain!
Vail has a lot to celebrate, indeed! A recent analysis of over 6,000 of the world’s ski resorts by Forbes put Vail into the top 10! In fact, Vail was the only U.S. ski resort that made it into the top 10 resorts in the world.
The real estate market in Vail Valley has finally normalized as well.
* National Association of Realtors’ chief economist Lawrence Yun predicted this week that home prices will continue to rise steadily next year, going up 1% in 2023.
* Mortgage rates are now expected to hover around 7 percent after having potentially topped out earlier in the week on news of lower- than-expected inflation.
* Inventory is on the rise again - something we‘ve been waiting for for years!
* All these changes are paving the way to a healthier real estate market in 2023 and beyond.
