I haven’t used a stove yet to heat a tent. Looking forward to new videos of your adventures. Diesel heaters are a great option for winter camping too. Many models have improved and now have a remote control to control temp.👍

If you listen closely to the laughter when you wake up.. that's when you're happiest. Van lifer for almost 3 years in a 99 Astro conversion van. Love everyday and great video vibes. Still using battery banks but I won't mind getting one of these or a jackery.

Trent, just a suggestion for next time. You can cook bacon and eggs without a frying pan while camping. Bacon: 1. Wrap around a stick and lean at a 45 degree angle over the fire. 2. Lay bacon across a rock next to the fire. 3. Use sticks to make a framework to hang bacon next to the fire. 4. You also had tin foil. Eggs: 1. Tin foil cups next to fire. 2. Heated in shell next to the fire. 3. Boiled in or out of the shell in a cup, aluminum can, bowl, etc. If you plan to do winter camping, working on your primitive cooking skills might be a fun hobby and make great videos. Good luck! 🫡

If you're going to camp outside get yourself a waterproof tarp to put under your tent or you will end up with dampness and mold on your tent and you don't want to fold it up and put it away like that, also go to a store where you can buy camping equipment and purchase a rack to put over the fire for your pan to sit on and I suggest wrought iron cookware.

Tent camping is hella scary. First time I did it was this summer in June, we were hiking in a "old-growth forest" and those are very thick, and we got a bit lost so we had to set up camp for the night. This is a area on the trail nobody ever usually tent on. Sometime at night, don't know time because I just woke up by sounds. It was a BEAR sniffing our tent, curious as nobody ever tents there, just pass by. I was so frozen it was one very scary moment. Luckily he was just curious, so nothing happened, but a very scary moment. If I would have reacted differently it could have been a very different story.

I remember when my sisters and I built a tent in the backyard. We had rocks and sticks to hold up the sheet and keep it stable and we would pretend we are camping. This definitely reminded me of that. I hope to be able to camp again in the future.

Have you considered any portable projectors or screens? Screens often roll up into cases with shoulder straps. That big battery should EASILY power a portable projector (connected to your ROG Ally, a phone, a tablet, a flash drive). You might be able to use the screen and projector in the van too as an extra bonus? Sounds like a sweet glamping upgrade with that battery!

I live in the twin cities and do a fair amount of winter camping in my portable fish house on lake Mille Lacs and Lake of the Woods. I use an insulated Eskimo pop up fish house that I heat with either propane or a tiny little portable wood stove. I had to make my own hole for the chimney pipe. I use cot similar to the one Trent used in this video. Either heat source is incredibly warm. Often times it's too warm and I basically sleep with the window wide open. I'm kinda inerested in that power station. I have the power station from strike master and it uses your 40 volt battery from the electric ice auger. It does okay, but I like game the entire time I'm out there too so something a little more beefier like this would be sweet cuz I don't want a generator. Too expensive and noisy.
