I am an OTR trucker for 25 years now. Never been to bucees because they apparently hate truck driver's money

I bet the people at Loves appreciate this video. "Let's go sleep at Loves. We'll come right back to Buc-ee's in the morning." (I was kinda hoping you'd at least fill up at Loves.)

I've never seen a Buc-ees that empty. If they were smart, they would allow vans to stay overnight. Maybe even charge them $10 a night. Loves is adding camping spots and it's brilliant.

You are much more forgiving than me. I used to stop at Bucees all the time, but one night (North of Atlanta on I75) I was dead tired and had to stop. About 15 min in I got the dreaded knock and asked to leave. The guy was courteous and suggested Loves. I haven't been to a Bucees since.

I appreciate that most Loves have dog parks. Road trips with 3 dogs it's a necessity.

You should’ve given Loves the business in the morning. Buc-cees is great but their business model is to not be a truckstop or transient quarters. All of their locations post “no overnight parking”. Their choice. But the least you can do is purchase something at the retailer that took care of your overnight. Oh, get some blackout curtains. Weather tech makes the best.

Poe is definitely unmistakable. Saw it on the interstate north of Denver and immediately knew it. It was like finding an Easter egg in the middle of rush hour traffic.

They need to open up a couple of rows at the back of the parking lot where people can sleep overnight. It's not like the parking lot isn't big enough...

You are a better woman than I. There is no way I would've given my money to Buccees in the morning I would've given it to the one who showed me the love.

One thing I urge is that you get window curtains that aren't translucent... Having curtains that display light from within your van / truck, will cause interest for inquiry from passersby outside. Moreover, at night ---- the smallest pinhole of light coming through your windows, can be seen for miles away... Hence, possibly causing unwanted visitors... Just a little tidbit for stealth camping!👍🤙

Miss thang reminds me a lot of my baby girl. She was 2 when I rescued her and was still producing milk (she had been abused and over bred by her previous owners), I remember having to wipe up milk droplets on my floor. She was just as shy and timid but warmed up to me decently fast. She’s a German shepherd , border collie, Aussie shepherd mix. She was and is so smart and well tempered that I trained her to be my service dog. She’s now almost 9 and still going strong🥰

I'm a Texan and Buccee-s is just a normal part of life, lol. Transplanted to Missouri 7 years ago, and we finally have two of them nearby. Safe travels and kiss the babies for me. 🥰

My wife and I were full time RVers. We NEVER slept in a store parking lot without first going inside and asking permission from the manager. And as a result, we never got kicked out.

I remember Kara and Nate living in their van and doing a 24 hours at BucEes video, and saying up front that BucEes didn't allow over night camping, so they had to move their van to sleep.

I’m so stubborn I probably wouldn’t have gave them my business the next morning, I get it , that don’t want to attract bad elements, but so many people that rv full time that they could have a specific area for overnight camping and charge a fee they would probably be full 24/7/365 …. Also we had a 1977 pick up and the gas gage didn’t work , so my dad put a marble in the gas tank , so when the fuel was getting low you could hear it rolling around Hillbilly knowledge I guess 😊 ❤fromTX

I like these 'low maintenance' kind of videos showcasing these road attractions like Bucee's. The World's Largest Truck Stop is another one that gets YT'd a lot. When on the road, these comfort food locations are a must stop. And I agree, Bucee's is its own personality with gas and plenty of fast food to go. I've never been to one but have to stop someday if out that way....travel on !!

This is why I don't do Buck-s. I drive a 700K 45 foot coach flat towing a wrangler. Sometimes you just want a place to pull over, have dinner and sleep. Cracker Barrel works well. Loves, Pilot Fly J also.

Love's and Bucee-s have saved me so many times, as a single father who has to drive through several states just to see my daughter. Those places have saved me on numerous times the no sleep @ Bucee's is terrible but Love's takes care of you really.

Years ago I managed a public facility that had a good bit of car parking. Local ordinances did not allow overnight parking. There was a guy in our area that lived in a van (this was before “van life” was a thing). His tactic was to drive around all night, and park, and sleep, during the day at various places, including ours. Somehow seemed to work for him. As you would imagine, the potential for mischief and crime is usually the motivation for forbidding overnighting.

I always call ahead if I need to spend the night. So far I've overnight parked at Cracker Barrel. I did email Love's customer service and they said that all locations allow overnight parking, but I still call ahead. Also really like the Love's app. I'm currently working on a list of places to sleep in a pinch, but so far Love's and Cracker Barrel have been OK for overnight for me.

I think the best way to be safe = first, don't have a KZfaq channel = many KZfaqrs have stalkers.. 2nd -> don't have a recognizable vehicle .. & 3rd, don't let anyone (except maybe close family), know about decisions especially financially -- especially investing decisions. = don't become a target for anyone. I used to think I wanted this exceptional vehicle, but stealth on the outside is way safer & easier - inside can be whatever. Happy travels. 😊

Went to a small bucees over 30 yrs ago in Texas haven't been to one since. We don't have any in Kansas. Can't believe they kicked u out after the money u spent there. Love Love's been going to them every time we went through Oklahoma. ❤❤

Personally I wouldn't be giving Bucees my money, I appreciate that it's not a given right to sleep in car parks, but when other places are so accepting, I would show my $ appreciation with them.

Most of the time (not always) a fuel level that gives sporadic readings is just a bad ground. Follow wires near your fuel tanks to the frame or frame support and clean the connection. (or not)

They kick you out and you still want to spend your money there?! Do you realize that if you're not supporting those that support you, eventually there will be no one to support you. Loves, Flying J, and others that allow you to stay overnight, that is where you should be spending your money.

Sorry, seeing this a few days later, and you can keep your Buccee! I did OTR EXPEDITE and the 1st time I pulled in to park1st, needed to go restroom, wanted to grab some food, then get gas!! Stepped out of my van and was met by an employee and told I couldn't park there, and wasn't allowed to stay because I was commercial! Told him what my plan was and told I could get gas but couldn't park!! So got into my van and went down the road for everything I needed, including the gas!! And many of my co drivers have had the same experience!!

BAD Bucee's . . . Actually bad for THEIR Business . . . Girl , You & the Pups TRULY Rock , Stay Safe & Safe Travels . . .

I'm so glad someone else in the world feels the way I do about Bridgerton

We have a Bucee-s in my hometown of Sevierville. Currently the largest one in the world. It's the entrance to the smoky mountains and always jammed pack. One thing the locals and workers have learned is that Bucee's is not chill. It has great facilities but the company culture is strict in every sense. Be careful once you get trespassed they apply it to every Bucee's location across the board.

It’s very easy to spend the night at Bucees, go inside and tell the lady cashier you are woman alone and feel safe to take a nap in their parking lot. That has always gotten me 6-8 hours.

The Buc-ee's in North Texas is covered up with people day/night. Christmas eve theyll be three times more cars than were in that lot. You're best bet is to blend in with other vehicles closer to the building while staying overnight. Parking off by yourself is a big giveaway. So is covering the windshield. Place a dark cover behind the front seats. Regardless, if they have someone watching cameras they'll spot any vehicles parked longer than normal.

Watched one of ur videos where u asked how to wake-up earlier... My best advice as a night-owl is to realize(ironic relative to being a dreamer/dreaming/sleeping) that it is a process that is not easy and then to make it happen first make sure ur all ‘caught up’ on sleep no matter at what time it is...if u can help it... and then begin waking up early right off the bat one day... the sleep deficit that builds up from getting up early will override going to sleep late after a few days and falling asleep earlier becomes easier... the trick however is staying disciplined to go to bed on time once you've ‘caught up’ on sleep again in the new circadian rhythm. Going to bed earlier needs to become a priority... but the getting up early right from the start is the most important in my opinion - and why being well rested before starting is so important otherwise the getting up early part is twice as difficult🙏Ur videos keeping me awake I need to change a few things too if I want to chase my dreams... goodluck/with going to bed early😳🙏 P.S also really important not to have coffee with or after lunch - before maybe but definitely not with or after - I'd say having lunch just a little later will help if you still need to sneak in a cup of joe on/or before lunchtime🫶
