This quest made me like Lyney so much more. He's a Fatui, but he's a good brother. He and his siblings are just in a tight spot with their 'Father'.

Honestly I grew a huge amount of respect and love for Lyndey after this, he was worried *sick* for his sibling and absolutely *TICKED* at Wriothesley- I would to, I personally have older brothers who’d probably act the same, my boy Lyney is just so loveable 😂

it sounded like Lyney was freaking out even more because memories of the nobles taking advantage of him and his sister were coming back to him. Wriothesley "inviting" Lynette over for a cup of tea and saying Lyney is a great magician probably reminded him of the past a lot.

In this line of job, this particular trait of his is a liability. Hope he knows how to balance between completing his job and keeping his siblings alive without underestimating their capacity.
