These receivers played in the same era. Stallworth Joyner Branch Carmichael Pearson Jackson Gilliam Gray Curtis All had way more catches for thousands more yards and some arw still not in the HOF. Harold Carmichael is just getting in this year.

I agree what do you do when the stage is big and the stakes are high. Just as good or better than any receiver from that stand point. Remember, the Steelers were a running team. So we’re the Dolphins and Paul Warfield was Also a bad boy. If Swann and Warfield played for Don air Coryale watch out. Stallworth on the other side was equally as good. The best duo in history I believe. Branch was a bad boy with the Raiders who should also be in the Hall of Fame, he should have greater numbers the Raiders were a passing team.

I would say the four SBs are enough to get in just by themselves. He was a starting WR on those teams so that says he made big contributions that helped the Steelers win those games.

@@homerwood502 i am from that time and I can tell you that was not it. John Stallworth was more feared and had better numbers. Joyner Branch Carmichael Pearson Jackson Gilliam Gray Curtis All had way more catches for thousands more yards and some arw still not in the HOF. Harold Carmichael is just getting in this year. Swann made pretty catches on national TV. Pittsburgh was the team so they were always televised back then. But he was pedestrian at best.. Just look at all of his stats. Never came close to leading the league.

@@bjt81366 im from that time as well, stallworth was a late bloomer,though Stallworth still had some good games,Stallworth didnt come into his own till 78. Swann was already a established superstar way before then.

@@bjt81366 stallworth had better numbers then Swann this is true. But keep in mind ,Stallworth played 7 years longer then Swann did.

@@homerwood502 Yes but his yearly numbers were also better. Everyone on that list was better. Swan just made spectacular catches. He was never the big threat.
