This guy was the best pure athlete to ever put on a steelers jersey. Some people may argue with that and that's OK. But in my 42 years of watching the steelers I've never seen anybody who could return punts, kickoff or interceptions like rod woodson. Also he was an amazing cover corner, shut down corner to be exact. Plus he was a great tackler. Plus he was able to blitz the quarterback and did it effectively. All those things to me add up to the best steeler of all time.

This is the 1st HOF speech I have ever stopped without watching to the finish. As a lifelong Steeler fan, I think even The Emperor, Charles Arthur Henry Noll, would have greatly disliked this speech. Stop talking about Steeler fans booing you, Rod, and get on with your life's work, which doesn't mean another 7 minutes of blabbering about Eddie Dibartolo or how the Ravens defense was equivalent to the Steel Curtain. Bullshit, and you know it. You got 4 more years at a much lower level of skill because you were greedy and made a shitload more money, most of which you pissed away. Your legacy would have been much better if you had retired as a Steeler. That's my educated opinion, and I'm sticking to it. Chuck Noll would be ashamed of you.

As a Stiller fan, I will always love Rod Woodson, and he is arguably one of the greatest DBs of all time. However, I do not like this speech. He seems almost stoned, loses his place and notes, and please stop praising god for letting you play football or win a Super Bowl. If there is a god (and there is not), he really needs more work to do if he is influencing and concerned about professional football. I expected better of you, Rod.
